I loved the dress but only gave 4 stars due to the v cut. I felt the button that clamps the top together could be placed a little lower and not so high up. Although I used a safety pin for a quick fix. The dress was a little long for me but ultimately worked for what I was going for. I'm 5'2 147 lb. And am a 38 D and it fit perfectly. I so wanted this dress to work. It was purchased for a Kentucky Derby themed party. The fabric is nice, the lining is an extra detail, and the pale blue and pink floral print was beautiful. However, the style made me look much heavier than I was and borderline pregnant. The elastic waist was too high, and with the added, drop shoulder and lower sleeve, gave me too much volume on my top half (I am not busty) , so that the overall effect was very dumpy looking. I think this is probably a better dress for someone who is very tall and very thin. If the style was changed to a shorter sleeve, less volume in the bodice, and a lower or no waist where you could belt it where you wanted it, it would be much more flattering So unfortunately, it is being returned. ... show more

Love that it covers the cleavage and can be worn with a normal bra. The built in slip is long enough to cover my bum even though some reviews said it was short. I wanted to really like this dress. I used it for engagement pics and while I love the color, I do not love the fit. It is not flattering. The top area was big which made me feel like I was falling out all the time. And the button to close the v area at the boobs was high, which left a peeping space gap underneath. It felt boxy at the waste down. There is no slimming effect, and because the dress is so flowy it gives the effect of you being larger. This is not something you’ll want to wear without tights or some kind of biker shorts - unless you love your legs and don’t mind the risk of your underwear showing. The built in slip barely covers your butt and will do some surprise sneak ups. Because I love this dress so much, I sewed some additional fabric to the slip to make it a more reasonable length - which seemed to do the trick. This solid black dress is a pretty style, the sleeves are a nice length, it’s very lightweight and suitable for very warm climates, is machine washable, and the fabric/material is soft to the touch.
