I bought this for a friend who is about 5' 4" and very large chested. The cut & color minimize the bust a bit while hugging the waist before flaring out to a full skirt. I tried it on myself (5' 5", C-cup) and it fit me well, also, even though I am 40 lbs heavier. The length is long and moves nicely. It is hard to see with the black on black pattern but the floral lace is see through. The bodice is fully lined, so don't worry about showing too much, ladies, as are the sleeves. The skirt has a lining that is only a little below the knee so you can see a little daylight at the bottom but still modest. I really liked the feel of the fabric. It is stretchy and good quality, not scratchy at all. Overall, a nice fancy-ish dress for spring or fall. It seems a little heavy for summer events to me, but others might not find that to be true. A good base layer that can be dressed up or down with accessories and jewelry. ... show more

I had a very special event to attend, and on the day of the event, I planned to wear something that's been in my closet forever. Well, this dress was delivered on the very day of the event, and I thought I would just try it on, not even thinking of wearing it the same day. To my surprise, it was elegant, not even slightly wrinkled, and flattering! I am quite short, so it's a little long on me, but with low heels, I don't need to hem it. The dress has a sort of brocade pattern with velvet. It has a nice lining, which is not as long as the full length of the dress, which gives a very pretty, delicate effect with the sheerness of the lower portion. This would be beautiful in so many of the colors that it's available in. I found it to be true to size. It is low cut, so I chose to wear a camisole under for modesty. This dress is so much prettier in person! I couldn't tell from photos that the fabric has a raised velvet flocking for all of the floral and leaf designs! It's so beautiful. The dark green color is true to product photo, though it looks more like a muted green background in my photos. The fit was absolutely perfect. I ordered an XL though I typically wear a large. I wanted to make sure there was coverage and that the banded waist wasn't too tight. The green color is too dark for springtime in my opinion so I may order the coral. I love how flattering the fit is on my wider middle and hips. The chest has ample coverage to feel modest but not dowdy. I feel lovely in this! ... show more
