I've been looking for a high quality cable that supports 100W charging and full usb 3.1 speeds and so far all the cables have been really stiff, this one is perfect the rubber is soft and it's very flexible. I've had problems attaching my usb-c external ssd with stiff cables because if you move the drive too much it can wiggle the cable out of the port on my laptop and cause a disconnect. I love Anker products. As soon is plugged this cable into my CFExpress card reader and USB-C port, I ran some benchmarks. The read and write speeds are blazing fast. I should have went with Anker in the first place. I purchased a cheaper alternative and the cable would be hit or miss in read speeds, and would always present trouble when I try to write to the card from PC. This cable also fast charges my phone from PC. You get what you pay for, and I should have went with this Anker cable from the beginning for my fast charging and transfer speeds!! ... show more

This T3 cable appears, like all ANKER products, to be of high quality manufacture. I'm using it as a replacement for the T3 cable that came with an OWC T3 dock. The OWC provided cable was just a little bit shorter which led to an awkward desk arrangement - the extra couple of inches made all the difference. The MacBookPro System Information tells me that the connection is at 40 Gb/s (as the specs require). Video and data are transferred properly over the cable to the dock and then onward to peripherals and a 2560x1440 monitor (USB-C 3.1 Gen2 with DisplayPort connection). ... show more

I use this to charge my Macbook Pro 2018. It requires a thunderbolt 3 cable to charge at full power (87w) when using a compatible wall charger also rated at 87w or higher (many people do not understand that). It is also the only black cable on amazon rated at these powers and is als the other reason I bought it. It works as described and delivers the appropriate power. With ANKERS great products you cant go wrong. Every cable i have tried is great and works as designed. This cable matched with a PD Anker power brick is a great match for my desk. I was looking for a cable that was short to get rid of clutter on my desk . This cable performs great and charges my 2017 13 inch macbook pro . The cable and the PD brick take a bit longer then the stock charger but that's expected since the wattage is less. Whenever i get a new device i always order a Anker cable or two for that device. Im looking forward to trying a PD power bank for travel. If they are anywhere as good as the 3 usb port banks I've tried in the past ill be happy. You cant go wrong with Anker. ... show more

The cord is short, maybe 18 inches long. I knew this was going to be the case, so that isn't an issue. The extremely high transfer rate probably limits how long the cord can be at this price (which is excellent too.) In the time that it took me to figure out how to fix driver issues connecting my laptop to my OnePlus 7 Pro phone and transfer files using the cord 20% or so of the battery had charged while in MTP mode, which is way better than any other cord I've ever had. Transferring the drivers folder from phone to laptop through this cord was instantaneous. The folder only held 18MB of data, but I have some work to do setting up drivers and managing the filesystem of the phone through the laptop before I transfer any larger files. Anyway, the cord works perfectly as advertised as far as I can tell, it is made of high quality materials and is significantly thicker than normal USB cords as well. I can't remember ever feeling a loss when buying Anker products. They are priced at mid level and perform with upper tier products. ... show more

Updated: Anker reached out to me and sent me a replacement cable which so far is working just as advertised. Upgrading review to four stars. Bought one of these for charging a MacBook Pro and to have a cable capable of maximum data transfer speeds. It's a thick, beefy cable that looks very well-suited to the job. I attached it to two different chargers and tried four ports and it won't charge my laptop. Other cables in the same chargers and ports worked. Must return. I will consider updating this review if I can get one that works. ... show more

I needed a high speed cable to connect an external sata enclosure to my motherboard (I ran out of space on my NVMe and wanted something faster than my slow hard drive). This cable may have been unnecessary, but my hope was to cut down on any latency and maximize any speeds I could get from my motherboard (it's a c type 3.1 port, but gen 1 I believe and not gen 2). Coupled with the 860 evo and the enclosure, my loading speeds were far faster than that of my hard drive (I tested with one game and it loaded 5 times faster than it did from my hard drive, down from 45 seconds to 9).
