Made out of durable plastic. Beautiful and colors are as the pictures show. I bought 4 packages of these and haven't had any tearing. You do have to separate them carefully on the perforations but it's not hard to do. On the walls, I used packing tape to hang the swirls and none of those fell but on the ceiling, packing tape doesn't work for us because we have a terrible popcorn ceiling. So for the ceiling, this year I tried poster putty and that worked way better. I just had to make sure the poster putty was properly and thickly wrapped around the hook otherwise it separated from the blob of putty on the ceiling. There are 2 swirls of each color and the 2 swirls are each a different style. One style goes big to small when hung and the other goes small to big and has an adorable split curl at the end. I would definitely buy these again. They are reusable too. Just store them in a gallon size ziplock bag and they can be used for many years

Beautiful decoration that is sure to drive your kitty wild with delight. She will scale dining room table and launch herself onto the chandelier in order to play with her new toy (apparently these are a dual purpose product). Then, because she is actually *above* the dangling swirl, she will lean so far over the bowl of the chandelier that she falls out onto her head (we are down to 8 lives now) and the chandelier will swing like a pendulum. Of course, this draws the OTHER kitty into the fray and the entertainment isn't over until the chandelier crashes onto the dining room table and the kitties dart off to hide under the bed. Table is broken. Chandelier is shattered. Kitties are maimed. But the swirls are still in perfect shape and ready to be reused once extricated from the debris. FIVE STARS!!!!
