I'm glad Amazon has a good return policy. I ordered my first mirror even though I had read a few reviews about the hum of the LED I wanted to try it anyway, with the knowledge of what to look for once it arrives. When I plugged it in to check out, I found on the 6000K setting it did not hum, unless you used the dimmer function on the mirror. When you put it on the 4000K setting, no matter if it was dimmed or not, it would hum. Then on the 3000K setting, it would hum when you used the dimmer function. If you like the 5000K at full brightness, this would work for you, but if at any point you wanted to dim the light or changed the color to 4000K it would be very annoying. This is not UL listed fixture and has a claim of ETL listing, but I think it is just a sticker and not a real listing. There is another claim of using UL or ETL listed equipment, but to be truly listed for use, it must be listed at a whole unit. This has a 120 VAC standard us 15 amp plug, and the attachment plug will fit behind the mirror if there is a receptacle. This can be mounted horizontal or vertical and has a void area behind the mirror to make it easy to hide the excess cord. You could take it apart and add some RGB lights to it, but you shouldn't have to modify or fix a new item with a 3 year warranty. 14 Aug 2021: I received another one and it still makes a humming sound. I am returning this for a refund. 3 Aug 2021: Just received the mirror from Amazon and the box was in good condition. Opened the mirror and plugged it in to test it. The lights are bright but when you change the led color (temperature) or when you try to dim the light, there is an audible humming sound that comes from the mirror. I will be returning this mirror and requesting a replacement. Will update this post after I receive a new one. ... show more

The first time my wife and I saw a lighted bathroom mirror was in a fancy restaurant. Considering we wanted to update our bathroom, we decided to search for a replacement mirror for our old oak framed medicine cabinet mirror. This back lit and front lit mirror by Amorho is extremely attractive and modern looking which was the look we were trying to achieve. Because our bathroom is small, we opted for the smallest lighted mirror Amorho makes (20 x 28). I was extremely concerned about the reliability of a lighted mirror after reading many reviews. Apparently some people were having issues with a humming noise coming from the mirror on certain light temperature and brightness settings. I am very pleased to announce that Amorho did seem to resolve this issue with their electrical engineers as our light currently works flawlessly. Amorho even states that the issue was corrected on their Amazon description. Behind this mirror, I actually left the wall with the original medicine cabinet void just in case this light went bad or gave us issues. This mirror is a great night light and offers so many different lighting variations for various needs and moods. The blue light control buttons on the front are bright enough to provide excellent night lights for your bathroom. The selectable color temperature offers you a wide variety of settings to match both your mood and decor. Installation is very simple. Two hanging brackets and you're done. Just about like hanging a picture on the wall. Electrical as mentioned is either plug-in or direct wire. Personally, I would suggest plugging it in and leaving it on for several weeks to make sure it works for the entire free return to Amazon period before you consider any type of direct wiring. If you want to try something modern and contemporary, I would not hesitate to recommend this mirror. The only thing that remains odd to me is that installing this mirror is like installing a replaceable light bulb considering the whole unit must be discarded when the light no longer works. ... show more

Have had about a month, this brand is much brighter and better illuminated that the other brand we put in our guest bathroom. We have it plugged into a smart switch which turns it on and the mirror saves its last settings.

This is a beautiful product. Very nicely done and a great value for the money. However it is truly for a bathroom. I purchased it for my daughter's bedroom as a vanity mirror because we couldn't fine modern ones that were within our price range we liked. We liked this one. There are three light color settings and the mirror itself is backlit which is super cool. Only problem is that when you are done and turn off the mirror, the three buttons ( on off and settings ) stay lit. You can't turn them off. This is fine if the mirror is hung in a bathroom, but they are pretty bright and so if you like a very dark room to sleep, it's not great for a bedroom. Wish there was a way to completely turn off the three lit buttons on the mirror, then it would truly be the perfect vanity! We will keep it and have plugged it into a power strip with an on off rocker switch to make shutting the lights simplified at night when it comes time to sleep. Great product but they should allow an option to press and hold the buttons to turn on or off the always on button display on the mirror ... show more

The mirror alone is adequate. I thought it wasnt going to be as brigjt as it is. With the light bar, lighting is fantastic. The mirror is so beautiful, functions as listed. I'd recommend to anyone who is fearful this kind of mirror might not be as bright as others.

I ordered three of these mirrors for the kids bathrooms. They are excellent. My only complaint would be there is no channel for the wire to sit in so that the mirror is flush with the wall. We installed these after the house was built so they are not hardwired. Otherwise these mirrors are excellent and all three kids, teenagers, love the mirrors. ... show more

Big fan of this mirror! The light is very bright, actually bright enough to not need any other lighting in the bathroom. There’s actually a ledge built into it so that you can mount it over an outlet and plug it in without wiring.
