  • Do NOT buy unless you really just have $40 in your pocket
I bought this skates upon some quick search on Amazon. The overall 4/5 star ratings somehow made me believing this is a decent product. I am having my little girl learning skating now, and I will go on ice to help her when she practices. I can skate a little, but no jumping, sudden stopping, those kind of *crazy* stuff when I am with my little girl. Tired of paying $4 every time I go there, and thinking $40 as 10 skates with my girl, I thought this could work for me, though I did read some reviews about its *poor quality*. I knew I made a mistake the moment I opened the box. Shoes are very *strange* in shape, and the blade is very flimsy-ly welded together. I have no question that this WILL break if I do a small 180 jump. Did not have any intention doing that, I still brought this to the rink to practice with my daughter. And boy, this is the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever put on. It is very tight in all directions and the squeezes on my ankle is just killing me. It's not like I have strange feet. I go to shoe stores and put on any shoes of size 9 or 9.5 and they pretty much fit well. Not this time. The picture in product page looks nice, but the actual pair has very *straight* line from toe to the top. If I squeeze the tongue under lace and tighten everything up, the tongue will start to wrinkle a lot and it was really uncomfortable. The opening on top is really stiff (perhaps this will go away after a few wearings, but I will not find it out) and chaffs my legs a lot. Still want to give it a shot and I took it onto the ice. Boy, the blades are not sharpened, and I am practically sliding sideways. Bottom part of the shoes are strangely soft and could not provide much support. I am not a pro skater, but I am not newbies either. This pair of skates are just not doing their work. The only good side of this skate is its price. I cannot find any other skates within 10 blocks of its price. But I am returning this skates and get something that really works. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for!
Size: 10 Color: Black
Yesterday, I tried this ice skates at the Chicago's Millenium Park Ice Rink. It is good for the beginners but after skating an hour you start to feel the pain on your feet. American Athletic Ice Force 2.0 Hockey Skate might be a better option for starters.

  • Part missing
Size: 9 Color: Black
The skates look great but the padding from the bottom of the right skate under the foot is missing so the right one is completely unwearable. Trying to contact the seller... if I can’t get this fixed I will have to return them because the right skate I can feel the screws from the blade and the left skate has a white sole. I’m not too keen on ice skating terminology but I can’t even stand in the pair I bought otherwise they are true to size and fit well. I cannot use them. Please email me or item is defective and cannot be used :( ... show more

  • Blades Broke after skating 4 times
Size: 12 Color: Black
One blade broke after skating a few times. It was my first time buying skates and I regret purchasing this because the blade broke off the shoe after 4 skating sessions in the rink in Bryant Park. Mind you I'm 180lb but that's still no reason for the blade to break the way they did. I'm glad no one got hurt when the blade flung out at high speed. Perhaps it's the way I skate - I typically skate fast and in bursts - yet if it can't handle even a total of 10 hours of skating regardless of the way I skate, I must question the quality of the metal used. I forget if it comes with a warranty. I don't recall. The only reason why I gave it 2 stars is because I broke the other blade as well and converted them into european-esque boots. But next time I'm buying hockey skates that are definitely more durable than this. ... show more

  • Good deal
Fit fine, just really stiff at first. I bought these for my husband and had to return for a bigger size(We bought his shoe size at first) He has wide feet and they squeeze his feet. They would definitely stretch out and be more comfortable with use! I'd buy them again.

  • Impressive
Size: 6 Color: Black
I got these skate for my son who is 11. He prefers figure skates over hockey and he loves these. He wears a size 5.5 us and I bought him a size us 6 and they fit him perfectly. These skates do not come sharpened so you will need to sharpen them before using. He has gone skating everyday fir 2 hours a day since he hit them and hasn't once complained of pain or aches. Great skates and a great price. ... show more

  • ... or twice a week since I ordered them in like November or something
Size: 11 Color: Black
I used mine about once or twice a week since I ordered them in like November or something, and the right boot broke. Just the heel came off. Lesson learned, cheap products are cheap for a reason. They are also really weak and don't provide enough support for if you do spins and stuff.
