So far we've purchased several pairs of these for our 4 year old who's been skating since she was 2 1/2. We didn't want her stuck with rental hockey skates (the only thing our rink offers), and who can shell out $175 for skates at the skating shop for a child who will outgrow them every few months? Not us, so these very affordable and well-made skates fit the bill! We ordered just a half size above her shoe size and they've been a great fit with warm socks!

Ordered these skates for my 7.5 year old daughter to skate with her mother on rainy days this summer. Skate does fit well and looks nice on her foot, but that’s the best that I can offer. Exactly 6 weeks after ordering and just after they could no longer be returned, these things are falling apart. First after a couple of hours on the ice I had to have the skates sharpened for a 2nd time. And we are talking about a 45lb beginnner not an established hockey player. Can’t believe the metal blade can’t hold the edge for longer than that. How cheap/soft is this metal? Now the grommet on the next to last lace has fallen off and I expect that the vacated hole in the leather will soon rip making these skates unable to be properly tightened around her ankles and therefore largely useless. Thought that these things would at least hold up for 10-12 hours of infrequent skating or until her foot outgrew them, but I guess I was wrong. Too bad as they are nice looking and fitting skates and my daughter does love them.

My daughter was taking weekly skating lessons, and finally reached the stage where she wanted her own skates. Not knowing anything about ice skates, I assumed I could buy the cheapest skates I found on Amazon with the best reviews. Anything will be better than the rentals, right? Wrong. After her lesson, the instructor came over and showed me how the side of the skate caved in. She called it a "pond skate", basically only good for going in circles around the rink. For a lot of people, this will be fine. My daughter did think it was comfortable and was upset when we had to get rid of it. But for the skaters who are taking lessons, they will be learning more advanced moves, and their ankles need stiff support. This skate just wasn't meant for it, so if you try to save money, you will wind up paying more in the long run.

I use to compete when I was a child and for 30$ this is a great deal ppl, nice skates would usually run at least $150 so anyone who complains about these when they only spent $30 needs to seriously re-evaluate their review! You get what you pay for and these are seriously intro skates that’s all. As for being intro skates only,,, my 5 year old is having a blast in them and they are way better quality then renting from the rental shop. Plus you make your money back in like 5 trips to the rink so yay. Next year I’ll be buying my daughter some nicer boots/blades but for right now. I’m super happy I got her these for only $30 bucks! THANK YOU 😆

i bought these skates for my 9-year-old daughter, but they were wrong size for her. So, i had to buy another pair again in a different size. (size 2) that means this pair is really new, still new and un-used by her on ice. anyway, one year later when the skates should be her size, my daughter tried to wear them, but she found out that they are a defected product because every time you take a step the boots twist, its hard to explain but its not comfortable on the floor, and definitely not on ice. can't even stand on the floor well because the boots twist I want to ask the seller to exchange it another pair,

I bought these skates for my daughter. She loves roller skating and wanted to try to ice skate but the rental skates are super uncomfortable. I didn't want to spend a lot on something she might not be that into and her feet are still growing. After searching Amazon, I found these. She is so happy with them! They are cute and way more comfortable than the rentals. Keep in mind the price when purchasing. They aren't meant for a professional skater, more for a beginner or kiddo that goes skating for fun.

My daughter enjoyed these skates as her first pair but after only a few times wearing them--maybe third or fourth time--noticed that the sides of the skate are not as rigid as before. This caused her ankles to wobble and so they became uncomfortable for her.

Although they are very cute looking ones but they won't last long. Second day of use and I couldn't lace up properly. The boot wouldn't hug the ankle and foot felt kinda wobbly. The plastic boot lost it's form after one round of use. Ice skates must hug the ankle tight to prevent injuries and it helps to skate freely like an extension of the foot. But not with this ones. It is very important for beginner skaters to have a nice quality ones. Lots of parents opt to cheaper ones for kids (like myself) thinking it is OK to start with. The better he skates the quicker kids learn to skate. I had my old pair made of 100% genuine leather and I still have them and they still fit great. Don't look at the cheering description of the plastic boot products. They are not meant to last even for couple of months. Do not waste your money if your child likes to stick with ice skating for a while - buy a good product.
