These are nice, light weight tshirts. They're well made and have a great color to them. The fit is expected, but I would have liked if the material was a little softer. It wasn't coarse enough to cause any discomfort, but doesn't really feel pleasant in your hands. Nice shirts overall though.

I wear a small in most men's shirts and these shirts are no exception. They fit true to size and are quite comfortable. They are a lighter thinner material than some of my plain t-shirts but that's not a bad thing. The v neck is a normal depth and not too deep. The one thing that irks me about these t-shirts is the tag. The tag is weirdly long and it's right on the back of the neck. It rubs and rubs every time you move. I ended up cutting it off, but you can't really get right of it fully without cutting the stitching. I wish they had put the tag on the side or just printed the care instructions on the shirt itself. Black shirts are an essential item in most people's closet. These American Apparel V-necks are a classic style and fit more slim than loose. I am 5'5, 130 lbs., pear-shaped, and I ordered a size small. They were a little big on me but they fit my male friend who is 5'7 and 135 lbs. perfectly. The 60% cotton and 40% polyester material blend allows flexibility and softness while still keeping the breathability of cotton. I appreciate that that the brand uses sustainable and recycled materials as well. To preserve the color and shape of the shirts, I recommend washing on cold and drying on low heat or air drying. I think these V-neck t-shirts look great, but the collar area is slightly looser than expected and the fabric feels thin. I ordered the heather charcoal color which is a deep shade of grey that looks nice paired with blue jeans or as an undershirt. The care tag could have been placed at the base of the shirt or they could have printed care instructions instead, as the tag tends to rub on the back of the neck. I know these are basic shirts, but the fabric to me feels somewhat thin. I think the overall value is good for a pair of V-neck shirts, but the fabric could be a little thicker. Also, one of the shirts in the pack had some loose stitching, while the other was perfect. ... show more
