    • Screws WAY too short
While the plate is great quality and sturdy, I have never seen a plate come with such short screws. I'm replaced about 60 plates in my new home over the past year, and this is the first one I've experienced this issue with. They're not even half an inch long. Unfortunately, I had to use the screws from the previous owner's plate, which are brass, and while it doesn't look awful, it does look off. Very disappointed. ... show more

These blank plates offer a great alternative to patching large drywall holes. It is metal and sturdy. They also work great for covering security panels no longer in use. I easily removed an old motion sensor and replaced it with this cover. Now, if I ever decide to install something in that junction box I'll already have easy access. I bought the plain bronze cover plate to replace unsightly plastic landline phone jack cover. Competitive price. Looks very nice. Be careful mounting it because it can scratch. I used these to cover the holes where my surround sound wires were coming through the wall. They look really nice and they are even nicer than I expected when I ordered them. They are metal and very sturdy, but install just like any plastic wall plate. The finish is very nice and looks more decorative that the available plastic plates.     • Need a faceplate? Buy it!
This is exactly what you want it to be. I needed a faceplate to cover some electrical wire box the previous owner just left open. Maybe they were going to put an outlet in? Who knows. I had visitors coming with 2 small children. I didn't need their little hands getting in there messing with wires. Bought this guy and it fit on the box and looks great.
