  • Sold As 4650g, it was a 4400g. The chip was also re-etched to 4650g (Beware, but not an isusse)
So this chip is sold as a 4650g as stated. The chip I received works great, but windows and bios see it as 4400g even with bios updates. So looking at the CPU-Z it is a 4400g! The chip has been clearly re-etched to show as 4650g when it isn't. So why am I not raging mad, because 4400g does not equal 4650g in naming terms.... Well it does match it is performance and over all specs. There are a slight bit of difference between the two. This is however fictionally the same chip so at the end of the day I give them 1 star off for somewhat false product description. To be clear both 4650g and 4400g are 6 cores with 12 threads, Both seem to have the same integrated graphics as for the differentiation it seems 4650g was targeted for certain markets and the 4400g was targeted for other markets. ... show more

  • As advertised!
It's a pretty sweet CPU, but you can look at benchmarks for specifics on that. Mostly just wanted to respond to the reviewer that claimed this was a "re-etched" CPU. It's absolutely not, lol. Old BIOSes will report that it's a 4400G, but if you're on even a relatively recent BIOS (~7/2020 or newer) it will report correctly as a 4650G. ... show more

  • Great for tiny computer builds.
Exactly as expected. With a fairly powerful integrated GPU, it's perfect for a tiny mini-ITX build. I used Morex 557 case, M3-ATX pico power supply, and Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 low-profile cooler. Depending on your motherboard, it will even support ECC memory (unbuffered DIMMs only). The only negative I could think of is that the package did not include an "AMD Ryzen PRO" sticker. :-( Pricing is, well, what it is, due to AMD not willing to sell these in retail market. And I got it from VR station, shipped from Hong Kong. It took only 4 days (including weekend!) to get it, although I did pay extra for faster shipping. The extra shipping cost was entirely reasonable. ... show more

  • Exactly what I was hoping for, a 6-core 3400G
During this pandemic, many of us have been motivated to build a new PC to help make staying at home more tolerable. So I started looking into what would fit my budget but also be upgradable later. For me there were two clear choices for a processor, the 4-core Ryzen 5 3400G with AMD's surprisingly good integrated graphics, or the 6-core Ryzen 5 3600 without integrated graphics. Then when I looked for graphics cards, I learned that even older models like the GTX 1050 Ti and 1650 were selling for ridiculously inflated prices, when you could find them in stock at all. I looked at YouTube videos of people playing various games on a 3400G, and saw that it could actually handle the newest Microsoft Flight Simulator passably at low to medium settings and 720p, and most other games practically perfectly at high settings and 1080p. But I still wished I could have 6 CPU cores instead of 4. Then I started hearing rumors that AMD were selling these 4000-series Ryzens with as good or better graphics than the 3400G but with 6 cores, but only to hardware manufacturers. Finally I found this 4650G on Amazon that was available to us "civilian" home builders. It has been everything I was looking for, handling any game I could throw at it as well as it needs to (for my needs, not necessarily someone expecting 4K or VR, etc.) until the supply of discrete graphics cards catches up with demand. I had always been nervous about building my own PC, especially something as small and fragile as the CPU, but it was actually one of the easiest parts to install and already came with a cooling fan with the thermal paste already attached. So if any of you are finding yourselves in a position similar to mine and were looking at the Ryzen 5 3400G and wishing it had 6 cores like the 3600, then I can totally recommend getting this 4650G instead. ... show more

  • Expensive, but nice
I bought this because my graphics card crapped out and I had to RMA it through ASUS (by the way, my experience with the whole process was not the nightmare that everyone said it was going to be). In the mean time I need to use my computer, so I dropped too much money for this APU. First of all, I have no problems with loading anything and it handles any of my basic and necessary needs. Gaming is not my focus, but 45 FPS is surprisingly playable with the software enhancement that AMD has available called Adrinalin. After I get my GPU back, I plan to use it in a duel system rig, cooled in a custom loop. I'll update this after I've had more time to really get to know this APU, but I'm happy with my purchase. Other than the fact that I GROSSLY overpaid for it. ... show more

  • Great GPU substitute til you find what's right.
This CPU/APU came in clutch when the chip market was crashed. Built my buddy an ITX build with this APU and we've been gaming on it with DayZ, 7Days to die, and so far its held up Low Mid settings when paired with 16gb ddr4 4000mhz ram and Asrock b550 itx mobo. Slapped a lopro noctua cooler on it and this suckers only upgrade is an MSI1660 super he bought. Pros: Runs cool Graphics are low mid Runs like a slightly underpowered 3600X while using the integrated graphics Cons: Hard af to find A little pricey No cooler 10/10 APU ... show more

  • Perfect for mini-pc with decent game support
This is the perfect combined cpu/gpu chip for small computer builds. I put this in an Asrock deskmini X300 barebone system with 32GB GSkill Ripjaws DDR4 3200 and a western
