  • Garbage quality shoes. The poles don’t lock at all so are useless.
Horrible quality. Borderline scam. So let’s start with the collapsable walking poles. They don’t have a working mechanism inside to lock the three pieces into place after extending out so the 3 pieces literally collapse instead of lock out so you can’t actually use them. It’s written on the poles with arrows that state which direction to turn to lock/unlock but they turn infinitely in either direction. All 4 of the poles do this (both my set and my wife’s set). The manufacturer must know they are manufacturing defective poles and selling them to consumers but do it regardless. Anyway, the shoes themselves actually function, which is surprising considering the cheap plastic used for the bindings and clips that tighten the shoes to the boots. I tested them out in a foot of new england snow and they worked. I wouldn’t expect them to last more than a couple uses however, and nothing where the hiking is tedious. They are definitely getting returned and I would only recommend them to someone I really didn’t like! ... show more

  • Very Good Given the Price
Considering you get poles, snow shoes, and a light nylon case for under $80.00 the expectations shouldn't be high. But these snowshoes seem to be a good value for the money. This is our first experience on snow shoes so we don't have any comparison experience. But we could strap these on and hike for miles, with few issues. The straps did loosen a couple of times under stress and maybe could be a bit better, but they work. At first we didn't understand that the latch actually ratchets and will tighten the strap. We just pulled the strap though the latch. After discovering the ratchet function, snugging up was easier. ... show more

  • For a Kid of Small Person
These are 21 inches and made for someone who is at least 70 pounds but no heavier then 150 pounds. They come in a lot of colors but I got green for my nephew who is taking a trip skiing this Christmas. Of course I gave them to him early and he is beyond the moon excited as normally he rents all his gear he needs and this time he will have all of his own. Its both snowshoes and they are made of aluminum alloy and seem to be made to last. ... show more

  • There’s better snowshoes out there for a similar price
As soon as I took the snowshoes out for their maiden voyage, I realized the green and white rectangle designs on the back of the snowshoe were flaking off. Not a good sign but I figured I could get past the cosmetic issue if the shoes worked well. Unfortunately they didn’t. The fast ratchet straps to secure my boot kept coming lose while I was on the trail, sending my snowshoe flying. I was constantly needing to tighten the bindings, or slide the heel strap back up, which was a pain. I returned these after 1 use. I found a different pair of snowshoes on Amazon for the same price I laid for these and they have a one pull binding system with a toe box to prevent sliding, heel lift system, and other cool features that these don’t have. These aren’t the worst snowshoes, but there’s better ones out there for around the same price! ... show more

  • I'll try them but bag arrived damaged and the color of poles & shoes do not match.
Size: 30" (180 - 250 lbs) Color: red
I want to try snowshoeing this winter and these seem like a good price point to start. I have not tried them yet (As of Nov 1, 2021). The bag arrived with some damage from the cleats. The red color on the shoes looks more of a fuschia than the red on the poles. I'm not sure how the hinge mechanism will hold up. It's just a plastic band twisting. Will update when I've had a chance to use them. ... show more

  • Stickers wore off first use
Got these for my kids months ago but as a Christmas gift. We got a ton of snow last night, so today was the first time they could use them. Quality wise and ease of use they seem good, sturdy, like they’ll last, but some of the stickers wore off already, and made a mess over the shoes. Not impressed with that. Now they look years old after one use. ... show more

  • No instructions
Size: 27" (165 - 235 lbs) Color: blue
Does not come with any instructions, the end result being that I threaded the straps through the ratcheting mechanism the wrong way as can be seen in the photos. I can't get the straps out now rendering these snowshoes useless unless I can somehow get the straps out without damaging them.
