I recently purchased a pair of snowshoes for myself and my husband saw how much easier it was for me to walk to and from work in the snow, so he decided he needed a pair as well. He is now in-love with these snowshoes. They fit him perfectly and he loves the color. They are lightweight, but the quality is high and they are well made. This set of snow shoes came with the poles, the snowshoes and a nice canvas bag to carry everything in or to store everything when you are not using the snowshoes. I do not love winter but live in Western NY where we can get snow for up to 4-5 months a year. These snowshoes have really helped me enjoy a season I normally don’t enjoy. They’re easy to put on and it was a pretty quick learning curve for using them. I stick to snowshoe paths at local parks so I’m not sure how they do for hiking in rougher terrain but they are excellent for me as a beginner. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Last year when I would visit my friend in the Pacific Northwest he would take me snowshoeing and it was so much fun. I found out locally here in Pittsburgh and in New York there’s quite a bit of trails that are Greta for snow shoeing. Try the side of this year to bite the bullet and buy a pair they said has everything you need goggles trekking poles and the snow shoes included as well as a travel bag which is nice if I ever visit my friend in Seattle to go snowshoeing and this will be easy to pack. The item we received is not what is currently advertised! It DID include all advertised items (carrying tote, poles, glasses, etc.) but the snow shoes themselves did not have the back strap that secures the heel. Our kiddo's feet kept coming off the shoe no matter how well the front straps were locked. We had order these precisely because of the back straps, now we're looking again, might have to go to a store. ... show more

    • Quality is very very low. The poles on both mine and my wife's set arrived non functional

So let’s start with the collapsable walking poles. They don’t have a working mechanism inside to lock the three pieces into place after extending out so the 3 pieces literally collapse instead of lock out so you can’t actually use them. It’s written on the poles with arrows that state which direction to turn to lock/unlock but they turn infinitely in either direction. All 4 of the poles do this (both my set and my wife’s set). The manufacturer must know they are manufacturing defective poles and selling them to consumers but do it regardless. Anyway, the shoes themselves actually function, which is surprising considering the cheap plastic used for the bindings and clips that tighten the shoes to the boots. I tested them out in a foot of new england snow and they worked. I wouldn’t expect them to last more than a couple uses however, and nothing where the hiking is tedious. They are definitely getting returned and I would only recommend them to someone I really didn’t like! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The clasps on here are nice. Fit in and I could pull down and when I needed tighter just did the click and it got tighter. Pull the little tab and it releases. Very easy to use. Can fit lots of different shoes and feet. Seems to be well put together. Everything fits in the bag well. ... show more
