Great Replacement After Kitten Chewing
We were using the IR Extender that was included with the Fire Cube to let Alexa control our surround sound system. Then we got kittens from the shelter and one of them (there are three and we don't know which one) decided to chew through the cable. So, we ordered this replacement IR Extender. It was reasonably priced and it does the job. Those kittens also got the cable for our Wii sensor, which we also ordered a replacement from Amazon, but that's for another review :-)

Second time
So I’ll be honest I bought this a few years back no clue it’s purpose. Now just bought one to do Go with firebox. I hooked up my mom’s box at Christmas and it’s in a closet. Yes I know not supposed to be in the closet but long story . That is where it is. So this extender device works. I still don’t really understand the purpose but we got the kitchen tv working yay!

Not As Responsive
I was excited to get a new fire cube but did not like the wire clutter. This extender fits the bill but the now concealed cube is not nearly as responsive. I’ve tried different mount locations without much luck. Frankly the 4K fire stick installed in my man cave nearly 60 feet from my Xfinity router is faster than this cube, at a third of the price.
