I got the pink case, it looks just like the photo. It appears that this will protect it in the event I drop the tablet when the case is closed, I'm not as confident if I were to drop it while it's open, but I don't tend to walk around with it open so it shouldn't be a problem. I am unimpressed with the stand portion. It is so stiff that it straightens back out if I attempt to use it, I tried to loosen the fold a bit but I don't want to get to crazy and end up damaging it. So the stand part is useless in my opinion. I end up just using the entire cover as the stand.

I was concerned, because I received my new Kindle Fire HD 8 today, & read the review that the camera port was on the wrong side. I just tried the case, & it fits perfectly & everything is correct! I got the twilight blue. It's very nice.

Didn't get this for the June 2020 version of fire he 8 because the camera slot is on the wrong side of the back! It won't work with the newest tablet.

I was going to get a galaxy tablet BUT I love the cover so much on the Fire Tablet that I decided to purchase Fire! The bend in the cover is for it to stand in multiple positions. I had something on my hands - it was simple to clean (thats what the second picture is.. the cover starting to dry). I wanted to show just a little water and soap is all you need - as it dries it returns to the same color and texture. It is magnetic; when you close the cover (It's like a book) it stays shut. You also have the setting to put it in sleep when you close the cover, then when you open it the tablet wakes. If you have the Fire Tablet - this is an absolute must! They work perfectly together!

I really have liked this kindle cover so far. It fits like a glove the device fits snugly into the cover yet without having to force in it. It is slimline yet provides a decent amount of protection ( if purchasing the device for a child I would recommend one of the cases designed for a child) It has an auto wake feature which is nice to have if you are only going to be off of it for a bit. The color matched what was shown in the picture and it has a nice feel in the hands.

Like all of my prior Amazon made Kindle cases, this is a well made case that fits the device perfectly. It is a must add if you are buying the Fire 8. It has a magnetic folding back that stands your device up perfectly in both landscape and portrait modes. Well done to the Kindle design team on this case.
