  • Protect Your Tablet in Style
If you're like me, your tablet is an essential part of your daily life. From streaming movies to reading books to staying connected with loved ones, my tablet is always by my side. But with that constant use comes the need for protection, which is where the Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet Case comes in. First off, I have to say I absolutely love the color of this case - Twilight Blue. It's a beautiful shade that's both calming and eye-catching at the same time. But looks aren't everything, and thankfully this case is just as functional as it is fashionable. The case is made of a durable polyurethane material that offers great protection against scratches, bumps, and drops. And with its slim design, it doesn't add any unnecessary bulk to your tablet, making it easy to take on the go. But what really sets this case apart is its ability to transform into a stand. With just a few folds, you can prop your tablet up at the perfect angle for watching movies, video chatting, or typing. And when you're done, it folds back up into a protective case. One thing to note is that the case does cover the buttons and ports on your tablet, but they're still easily accessible through the precise cutouts. And with the case's magnetic closure, you can be sure your tablet is always secure. Overall, I highly recommend the Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet Case in Twilight Blue to anyone in need of stylish and functional protection for their tablet. Its durable material, slim design, and stand function make it the perfect accessory for your daily use. So go ahead and add it to your cart - your tablet will thank you for it! ... show more

  • A decent enough case for a budget tablet
Update: I've been giving the case some thought recently since I've had to hold it a lot more in recent times and I've come to the conclusion that it's too heavy. Specifically on the cover side. And also thick. This makes holding the tablet with the cover folded back unwieldy and much heavier than it has to be. Covers this heavy should have some reason for its weight such as a keyboard or some durable protection, but this one does nothing special beyond act as a simple stand. I've taken to using my tablet outside the case most of the time since it's much lighter and better balanced that way and only really use the case when I want to prop it up or if I'm traveling (not much these days, for obvious reasons). It's still fairly decent for a budget case for a budget tablet, but I'm lowering my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars as a result. The case itself feels tough enough. The outside is a nice and uniform rough-ish fabric material. Its definitely grippy and makes the case feel fairly solid. The inside of the cover is lined with a soft micro-fiber material that's nice to touch and definitely won't scratch the screen. When flipped open all the way the micro-fiber material feels pretty nice to hold as well. The two sides seem to be bonded to some sort of hard plastic in the center that is somewhat flimsy at the edges where it thins out, but otherwise feels durable. The tablet is inserted into a hard plastic material that also makes up the entire right side of the case. The top and bottom of the case are mostly open, though the hard plastic just out enough that it provides a little bit of protection on those sides. The case has cutouts for the camera on the rear, but it's unfortunately blocked if you open the case all the way so the cover is flat against the back. Not that you'd ever really take pictures with the Fire HD 10 camera since it's pretty horrible even for budget tablets, but it's a minor annoyance having to hold the cover open if you ever find yourself in a situation where you'd want to do so. The cover itself folds in half diagonally and has magnets towards the top 45 degree corner of the upper triangle half and bottom right angle corner of the lower triangle half. It snaps closed convincingly enough, though because the magnets are localized not all of the cover will hold snug. The magnets themselves are strong though and can even take a bit more effort than I'd prefer to pull loose if you pull from the wrong angles. The cover folds in one direction only and can be angled to prop the case up both straight up and on its right side (the kickstand functionality doesn't work upside down or on its left side). Though the bend on the cover is a bit stiff at first, it loosens up quickly with use and doesn't actually provide the most stable stand at all angles. It also only props up in landscape mode with the right side facing down (speaker side up), which is annoying since the default landscape mode is actually with the left side facing down meaning a lot of apps will always have to re-orientate themselves if they default to landscape mode. I do worry that the bend on the cover will become too loose over time, but for now it seems sturdy enough. Depending on the surface it's on, the hard plastic the case will rest on when in kickstand mode may also be somewhat slippery. Aside from the bend in the cover, the only other portion of the case that may be vulnerable to damage would be the binding. It's made of the tough fiber on the outside and micro-fiber on the inside with some sort of soft polymer in the middle. As the magnets are furthest away from the binding, the cover nearest to it actually don't go down all the way so it doesn't seem to ever need to bend all that much. Pulling at it doesn't show any give either so I don't believe it's going to tear unless you just really go at it. I'd be a little tougher on this case if it wasn't designed for a budget tablet. It's definitely a tad pricey for what it is, and though the materials feel premium enough they aren't in the same league as the leather stuff that the Kindle cases get. I do wish the top magnet was larger so it could provide a more stable hold in kickstand mode, and I do wish the hard plastic covered more of the tablet (particularly the bottom that doesn't have any buttons). But at the end of the day the case does what it was designed to do and doesn't have any major flaws other than how it covers the rear camera when the cover is fully opened. I'd recommend this when it's discounted to anyone looking for a Fire HD 10 case with a decent enough kickstand. ... show more
