  • Great for watching video
Color: Plum
I specifically invested in a 10 inch Kindle to watch videos, since I was feeling constrained by my 8 inch. It is really good and the sound is better than the 8 inch. I've had it a week and so far, so good. My only beef is that the only available charging cords are so short. I purchased a longer one that supposedly should have worked, but the plug is not compatible with the 10 inch. We need longer cord options. ... show more

  • Discovered it's Magnetic- Total Game Changer!
Color: Charcoal Black
At 1st I wasn't blown over by the overall design. (I have friends with others that sit better than this style) BUT- I quickly discovered it's magnetic and so I am able to post the whole thing on my fridge while cooking, or my file cabinet while working. Very sturdy, so I am able to be confident that it will hold in place. It makes the usability of the kindle fire 1000% better. ... show more

  • Cannot take pictures
Color: Charcoal Black
This is a nice case however, it has a major defect. You cannot take pictures when you open the case.

  • Perfect fit and function, maybe a bit expensive.
Color: Charcoal Black
This is a perfect fit, and is exactly what I wanted. Minimal, no blocking of any ports or buttons or speakers, protects the device, acts as a stand for viewing, and turns the screen on and off when opened and closed. As noted elsewhere, you have to have the case open for the device to be on, and you can't use the camera on the back when the case is open, so that's a conundrum, but let's be honest, who uses that 2mpx camera on the back anyway... The only downside is that it is a tad pricey. ... show more

  • Happy so far, except for 2 software issues
Color: Charcoal Black
2nd NOTE: This is really strange. This review would NOT post under my Kindle Fire 10 HD tablet purchase but it did post under the tablet case purchase. What's going on, Amazon? NOTE: I've been trying to post this review of my new Kindle Fire HD 10 since Wednesday, October 30th, with no luck posting it under the order for the Kindle Fire itself, so I am trying to post it here... My Kindle Fire HD 10, 9th Generation arrived today, just as my previous Kindle Fire 7 HDX, 3rd Generation's battery finally died two days ago. So far, after 4 hours of troubleshooting 2 software issues, and opening 2 tickets with tech support, I am enjoying what does work. Here are the 2 issues which will probably occur with your Fire HD 10 too, if you use the Silk Browser and restore from a cloud backup from a previous Kindle Fire. Also a problem if you have an AOL email account and use the Kindle Fire Email App. #1. I restored the apps, bookmarks, etc from my stored Kindle Fire 7 HDX backup on the Amazon Cloud to this new Kindle Fire HD 10. The Silk Browser proceeded to load all of my Silk Bookmarks under "Bookmarks" and also under "Favorites". This creates a huge problem inside the Silk Browser which continues to crash and becomes downright unresponsive. After one full hour with a wonderful Kindle tech support man, we came up with temporary workarounds. In order to use the Silk Browser... I cannot close the last tab on the browser and I cannot add any new tabs. I can only access websites through the existing listed backups, or enter a URL in an existing window to access a new site. This problem has been reported to Amazon and he assures me that it's probably due to the new operating system and the ticket will go over to the developers for a solution. #2. I signed into my AOL email account using the Kindle Email App and my AOL contacts which should show up each time I enter a couple of letters to the TO: line, are missing. These same AOL contacts do show up using the third party My Mail App which I downloaded during the major AOL connection problem that existed with Kindle and AOL for six weeks from August through September. Linda, a great tech gal, wrote up a ticket on this software problem with Kindle's Email App and AOL email. She also assured me that the Kindle geniuses who built this version would get to the bottom of this new AOL/Kindle Fire problem. In the meantime, I will use the MY MAIL third party email application for sending my AOL emails. Other that these two glitches, I am enjoying my new Kindle Fire HD 10. It is very responsive and fast, which is why I waited so many years before buying a newer Kindle Fire. The specs on this unit are closer to the outstanding specs of my previous Kindle Fire 7 HDX from 2013. I bought a Fire HD 10 cover, and also a screen protector. I will be playing with this for a few hours and I will update this review if I encounter any other glitches. So as of this moment, I will give my new Kindle Fire HD 10 four stars, until the 2 issues mentioned above are remedied. I am counting on the Kindle Fire gurus to fix these problems pronto. ... show more

  • Needs better side protection
Color: Twilight Blue
After getting my fire tablet I went on the hunt for a case. This is 1 out of 4 that I decided to try out because I couldn't find one that had what I was looking for. The main things I usually want out of a case is: corner/edge protection, shock absorbing, auto sleep/wake function, slim design, and overall ease of use. First I want to say i was disappointed with the lack of information on the page for this case, they barely tell you anything about it. However since I had the original origami style one on my old fire i decided to get this to try it out. PROS: It has a strong magnet that keeps cover secure to the front of the screen and to the back of the device when you have it open Slim design doesn't add much bulkiness to it. CONS: Doesn't have all around protection. The case basically lines up flush with the fires edges so there's no extra area around the sides/edges to help protect the sides of the fire tablet, they are basically just open. Which means you'll still easily hit/accidentally bump the power or volume buttons when using it and won't provide much protection for the sides if you drop your fire. The only side that the shell fully covers is the bottom one. No shock absorbing silicone. The standing feature has a pro that it can stand vertical and horizontal but that's where the good news ends because to prop it up isn't very sturdy. I thought when you fold it in half to stand it up that the flap magnetizes to stay locked in that half open position but it doesn't. This is awful compared to the origami style that stayed magnetically folded to prop up the fire. Overall, even though it was the only case I tried that has a fully magnetic cover that stays flat on the back when open, its lack of protectiveness made me return it. I attached pictures of the sides, speaker holes, vertical standing and how flat it lays when you fold the front cover back. ... show more

  • Not bad but a little over price
Color: Twilight Blue
It is a nice cover but a little difficult to get your tablet to stand. Also noticed the speakers are at the top when in the case. The sky rd projects better from the bottom but the case makes them be at the top. Is this correc. Better amplification when the are on the bottom.
