I am a huge fan of Amazon gift cards and purchase them often. Usually I purchase virtual gift cards and then send them in e-cards to friends. When I saw this birthday "reveal" gift card, I decided to order it for my best friend for her birthday. She loved the gift card and the fact that she can use it to buy anything that she likes on Amazon. I was very unhappy with the purchase however as the "reveal" card, the main reason that I choose this particular gift card, was covered in glitter and therefor I couldn't use it. I didn’t think I would have to rate an Amazon gift card with 1 star, until the packaging I received arrived torn apart! I can’t use the pretty envelope because it was ripped apart. I only hope it has the right amount on the card, as it looks suspect. I may have to return this.

I liked it, because it was my daughter's birthday, and we all are a Amazon family. So I decided to send her a Amazon gift card for her birthday, since she lives in Colorado, and I can't be there for her birthday. So I put it in a birthday card and mailed it to her by regular mail on October 25th., because her birthday is November 1st. But sad to say that the gift card was for a lot of money, and she never received it. Being asked to review a gift card is a little like being asked to review a TV dinner, or an episode of CSI. You're not exactly proud of the circumstances that led to you consider it an acceptable use of your resources, but you have to admit that, in a pinch, it'll do the job. As far as I know, the gift card arrived at its destination, and as long as its recipient can figure out how to use a website (or enlist the help of someone who can), they can exchange it for just about anything they can imagine—and some things I'm sure they would prefer not to. I've been sending these now to my neices and nephews for birthdays, etc. Bery ready to send via text to their phone. Only down side is the kids dont always call or text me to let me know that they received it. My in town niece was excited to get it. Her mom says shes always asking to order from Amazon using mom's credit card and giving mom her cash but mom says she (mom) always seems to come out on the bad end of that deal. This is a really cute way to give a gift card - it pops up as it opens. My only reason for taking away a star - the "To" and "From" shown on the example online was missing from the one sent to me.
