NO idea 'what' many of you who got these bath towels are talking/ranting about Lol. Just washed these for the 1st time in hot water & dried for 120 minutes at a high setting. Washed & dried with a bunch of other clothing & items too. Basically NO shedding, tearing, minimal lint etc...Truly put to the test and def. passed! Came out quite soft, sturdy, sleek, intact, minimal shrinking and fully ready for use now! Perfect medium thickness esp. in the very humid climate I live in. Feel and look as good as high end brand name towels that cost double the price! Attached pics of both towels at different angles and lightning. Nearly flawless. Don't know what to say to those high maintenance Karen/Kevin types? people who had very different experiences w/ these bath towels. Luckily, I did NOT listen to them Lol. Plan to buy another pair asap now esp. w/ these being priced so low due to Prime days. Thrilled I upgraded (was using 15 yr old Target towels still pretty intact but old) w/ these! ... show more

Bought these during Prime Day! I'm getting to that age where if I can splurge, it would on essentials. LOL. I was never a fan of Amazon Basics until this past Prime Day. Not only did these towels handled a hot wash and medium heat dry cycle after the first wash with no loose strings, but they have also kept my hands completely dry during my hygienic needs. They are extremely and feels luxurious like the 4-5-star hotels! In fact, my recent stay at the SF Nikko Hotel didn't even have hand towels softer than this Amazon Basics. This is way better priced than some of the Target and Costco ones of similar quality with no loose strings after wash. I will be purchasing more when more colors are made available. In fact, I am purchasing another set for the parents as I am typing this. For under $20, you need to get this. ... show more

    • Well THAT was surprisingly high quality!
Honestly, I was just looking for INEXPENSIVE towels for a bathroom we really don’t use very much, and these were really low priced (something like $25 for two bath towels). I took other reviewers’ advice and made sure we washed them first, and that was excellent advice, because they’ve held up well over several washes since then, and don’t pill up at all. But the minute I used them the first time, I fell in love. I thought “WOW, this is WAY higher quality than I would have expected for this price.” Incredibly absorbent, and SO soft! I was sold right away and now my wife wants to buy more of these for the other bathrooms. I mean, how did I not know about these until now? I spend a lot of time reading reviews when I shop, and I’ve got some fairly high-end towels that I labored over reading reviews, which cost WAY more than these and aren’t nearly as soft and absorbent. Just didn’t know Amazon had their own brand of towels (although really I buy the Amazon men’s underwear, and tank tops, and coffee, so, well I have no excuse) but glad they do! I thought this was a lot of towels for the money, and the quality is ok. However, the light pink shade I thought I’d get, from the photo, is more of a coral pink.

    • these are first quality Taupe colored towels
oh my! what nice towels, I ordered the hand towels for my half bathroom , they are a generous size , no skimping here. I am picky about bath linens , I was so impressed with these that I just ordered the bath towels and wash cloths for my main bathroom. They are thick and soft with almost velvety feel to them , nice finished borders and edges that I don't think will pucker and pull up when washed like most others do. I am hesitant to give such a rave review. for fear they will raise the price. HA! I can't imagine how anyone could find fault with the quality, very classy that look and feel very expensive. All the colors look as if they would be very pretty. Too. revised review. I washed them and they laundered beautifully, The Only fault I find is just a minor annoyance is the huge Amazon silky tag and cutting them off of all the towels and wash cloths is a real pain when you buy a bundle of hand, bath and washcloths. I like these. When I buy towels, I use them for the people in the family, then they get passed down to the pets for bathtime and after that, they are used for rags. Our towels have several lives. When I buy towels, I want great quality. These are wonderful. Soft, absorbent and they have been washed a dozen times and still look and feel good. My husband joked saying they are so absorbent, you don’t have to put them on your skin, just get the towel close and the moisture jumps to the towel! I like these and I will buy them again. ... show more
