The media could not be loaded. I bought this for Christmas. So far its one of the best investments l have made...alexa works great with all of our smart bulbs and switches and other devices....controls most of the lights in our home...our ring door bell...we play games and get the news high lights and weather...have samuel l jackson talk for a small fee...lol...it is great...the family loves it...makes lists and reminders...will call your phone when you lose it...tells you jokes n will compliment or roast you...set up your own routines with lights and music and voice sayings...listen to music...overall it is great so far...would deff recommend...n already bought a 2nd one for our bedroom...

We have at least 5 of these throughout our house. The are high quality speakers, that provide unlimited information. No issue with WiFi connectivity and the Alexa application. They are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Another great item from Amazon.

I got one of these for Christmas. The functionality is great for my daily life (helps so much with reminders and routines and scheduling when you have a flighty artist brain with poor memory) but the sound quality was really bad. Sounded like it was played from a tin can. Really quiet, tinny, no bass, just gross and appalling. Like worse than from my iPhone's built in speakers. I was like 'oh well, guess it's not supposed to be a music speaker.' A month later I bought another one for another room because I liked having the first one so much. This one was SO much better sounding than the first. It blew me away. The quality was crazy. It was on par with my studio monitors even, and waay better than my previous bluetooth speakers I was using. I was shocked and realized the first one had been a dud. Luckily I could still return the original and when I got the replacement.. the new one had the SAME issue as the first! Speaker was awful. Returned it again and finally got one that sounded great. Moral of the story, if it sounds awful you got a dud and keep replacing it until it sounds like a good speaker should. Apparently this is a common problem if I got 2 out of 3 with a bad speaker in it. I think the 4rd Gen Dot itself is great when functioning properly and I like the design. I wish there was a wireless option, but the chord isn't too obstructive, just hate that I can't move it around. 'Alexa' itself has problems yes but I consider that a separate issue from the actual speaker, which is what this review is about. It's my first experience with an Alexa product and I'm pleased with it. Sucked having to deal with customer service so much just to get a functioning product but it was worth it in the end.

My echo dots are the absolute best! I am busy and I love the help of making lists, reading my audible books, reminders, turns lights down, tell the weather, and get ready to wind down after the day with the routines I set with my dots. You can’t ask for better! Alexa is the best! You won’t make a mistake buying the echo dots for every room and throughout your home and office!

So, the speaker is great quality and sounds really good. The light works fine. BUT it turns out that I'm not a fan of Alexa! I think if they expanded the Alexa services it would be much better. Also, improve the interaction conversations. Sorry Amazon, Google's Home is better. I hope you catch up!

we absolutely love it. there’s a lot of games and fun things for the visually impaired which is a huge bonus for my household. So far “dungeon adventures” is the biggest hit. It easily paired with my music streaming services with Amazon music and Apple Music. I love having amazon audible books in nearly every room in the house for the kids to listen too daily. I can control them all from my phone to set up daily routines, alarms, make announcements, tell jokes, and I love the “drop in” feature so I can call home from my phone when I’m away…they never answer their phones lol….the light bulb is a big bonus, it works very well and dims to whatever percentage I tell it too turns on and off on demand which is nice when getting into bed being able to turn lights off when everyone is ready and they can control their lights with simple voice commands. I could go on and on, so many great features and reasons to make this your next purchase

I bought this a while ago on Black Friday for a friend of mine and she loves it. She uses it to turn her light on in her room without having to get up as well as for other things. I do highly recommend the product based on how much my friend likes it. I think it was a good price and if you wait to Black Friday, the price may go down.
