yay! amazon finally fixed their cases!

Amazon finally fixed all my qualms with the old cases they have made since forever! That stupid plastic border is gone! no more sharp corners or crease to distract me while I read! also seems very protective! the fabric case does fit both models of kindle basic for 2026! I am only disappointed we don't get it in blue, but its probably for the best as the matcha case always got very dirty looking with time.

Difficulty removing

Beautiful case but removing it is a struggle and it causes damage to the kindle. I tried taking mine off and the kindle came apart slightly along the edge. It popped back in place but I thought it was broken for a second

I love this Kindle!! It's very compact and can fit in a purse easily or in my backpack. The color is perfect! I love the case as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a new Kindle.

Not loving this case

Not loving this one. This is not a good redesign. The case for the previous (matcha) kindle is great! With this one, the edges of the case are not flush with the kindle. The stick up which makes it uncomfortable to hold and to turn the page. I also don’t love that it’s fabric on the edges now. I don’t think I’ve ever had a kindle case where the edges were higher than the body of the device, even with off brand cases. I was really hoping it would be just like the previous case which was really nice. I ordered a bundle deal so to return this, I’m assuming I’ll have to return the kindle, too, and reorder. Not really sure what the designers were thinking on this one? I also think it was quite silly to move the lower button to the side of this kindle. Very pointless change.
