These Aline Furniture pull-out cabinet organizer shelves are a back saver! The drawer (aka shelf) kit comes unassembled, but don’t let that discourage you. I ordered four kits during a markdown sale, hoping for the best… while expecting mediocre, but at least functional quality for the price. To my surprise, all of the sturdy finished wood pieces in the kit are pre-cut with laser precision. If you have the skills to put a toddler’s wood puzzle together, then you shouldn’t have a problem locking the dove-tailed corners of this shelf together with just a few gentle taps of a wooden block or rubber mallet. I took the advice of a previous reviewer and added a dab of wood glue before popping the dove tails in place. The shelves are predrilled for attaching the high quality steel ball-bearing gliders to the sides of the shelf, or to the bottom. My 35 yr old cabinet openings are exactly 17 1/8” wide. The four shelves I ordered are 17” W, so I had to use the bottom mount method. I was prepared to shave a bit of wood off my cabinet framework, but was amazed to discover the two mass produced shelves I installed were absolutely square! Both have EXACTLY 1/16” clearance on each side, which allows the shelves to open & close flawlessly without scraping or rubbing any part of my existing cabinet frame. Assembly & install was approximately an hour for the first shelf, but my 2nd install was a breeze. I now have twice the cookware stowed in this cabinet! Plus, easy one touch access to slide out towers of 12” fryers & large stock pots, without sitting on the floor or unloading half the cabinet to get the vessel I need. Once together, this pull out tray looks beautiful. I love the indented part on the front for pulling it, it's very comfortable to use and is very smooth wood - no jagged bits. I like that it has raised edges all around so that pots and pans don't slide off of it as I pull it out. It wasnt too hard to put the wood pieces together, but I did feel the instructions were a bit lacking. They simply said to fit the front and back to the side pieces, as if this were very simple to do - but I didn't find it so. By the mere strength of my hands I could fit the pieces somewhat, but not completely together. I wished I had a rubber mallet to tighten the joints together, but instead I had to try to gently use a hammer, and I luckily only had small amounts of chipping in the inner pieces of the joints. Still, though, that was only through being very careful, and I wish the instructions had been more detailed in this area or specified the need for a rubber mallet. So, overall, still pleased with it, think it's very worth it's price, but I hope they improve the instructions a bit. ... show more

As most people, I keep my under sink drawer packed with necessities and cleaning products which means when it is time to clean it is a huge chore to empty the cabinet to grab whatever I need that has always been pushed to the back. By the time the items I need are brought out, I am worn out! This has made simple chores so much easier by being able to get to everything just by pulling out the drawer. You do lose a little room in the voids for the sliders but that is a small price to pay for being able to easily get to your items. ... show more

I’m impressed with this pull-out cabinet drawer! It’s made of solid wood, not pressed composite. The joints that take the most pressure are joined with dove-tailed joints (find those at Ikea!) and the sliders are well-balanced, pulling out easily and closing the last bit automatically. The directions are easy to understand and clear, but I managed to miss out on understanding them anyway. I was able to put the drawers together easily, but I could not figure out how to separate the drawer sliders as the directions indicated. There was supposed to be a tail sticking out of one portion of the slider that you would pull and the drawer slider would separate into two parts, one of which you would screw to the included blocks to the inside of your cabinet and the other would screw to the side of the drawer. I looked and looked, imagined and more, but I couldn’t find that slider. My wife calls me “Mr. Question Man.” If I can’t find something in a store I’ll ask where it is.” If I don’t understand something I’ll ask about that too (if I’m at all interested). Well, I was interested in putting this drawer together, so I wrote the seller asking what I’m doing wrong. I even included pictures. In just a few hours I got three pictures back from them showing me exactly where the rubber pull I was missing was. It was so obvious that I suspected that my drawer rails were assembled incorrectly as THEY WEREN’T THERE! So I went and looked, and there was the rubber pull that showed in the pictures. If I were paranoid, I’d wonder if someone came in and switched my drawer rails, but I’m not paranoid, just stupid! I find it hard that I (and my wife) missed them, but there they were, but we hadn’t known how to look. I’m including the pictures from the seller (thank you!) in case you have this same problem. In any case, now that that was figured out, the drawers were put together and installed with no trouble at all. They make it so easy to find out what’s in the back of that bottom cabinet shelf because it’s no longer in the back under the top shelf but right out where you can see it. I recommend this sturdy and well-built shelf to you! I expect that you’ll be able to read the clear directions better than I have! ... show more
