I bought this to attend a wedding in early September and chose the Brushed Peri as the other colors were too dark. I had to return the size 8 for a 10. I assumed there would be a bit of give to the top since it is a faux wrap but there was none. Be sure to use your actual measurements and accept the fact that you might need a size larger than your usual size. The fabric color of the bodice is a little dull compared with the periwinkle bling skirt. That is a little disappointing since the elbow length sleeves also make the top look a little too casual. The bodice is fully lined (Heavy) and meant to be slightly short waisted so that the skirt flows more evenly over the hips. I am 5'6" and the dress length is closer to midi than tea length. I will need some special bling jewelry to bring the bodice color in line with the skirt. Overall, I like the dress. I was going for Casual Elegance but I can understand how it might appear more matronly if the fit is not perfect.

This is a beautiful dress! Purchases for a 50th Anniversary vow renewal ceremony. The bottom is far too formal for the fabric they used for the top. I don't know what else they could have used, silk, crepe? This feels and looks more like the stretchy swimsuit fabric of days of yore. The bottom is gorgeous! I wish two things: the length were more of a midi than tea, and the sleeves were 3/4 not whatever they are. Somewhere between short and 3/4. Hit right at the crease of my elbow. I don't like showing my arms. I expected sleeves to come lower as, even in petites, they normally fit me a bit on the bigger side. I'd order from this company again, but I'd pay careful attention to all the little details. Wish more companies offered petite sizes in formal wear. I love that Alex Evenings does that! If you don't care about the fabric, you will probably love this one. 12P fit me almost perfectly, except for the sleeves being too short, and the top wasn't quite right in fit, either. Can't put my finger on it. Just didn't look or feel right. But do give it a try. You can always return it as I've done. Love that about ordering from Amazon!

Gorgeous dress but a bit more formal than I needed. Fits beautifully but is a bit on the heavy side since the fabric and embellishments weigh it down. Which works in your favor in fitting. I would recommend it highly but not for hot weather event.

The media could not be loaded. Measure yourself, then use the size chart. My measurements are 46-40-46, 5'3". Alex Evenings' size 16 petite fit me best, but 16 regular also fits and usually costs less. I tried the navy tie front in 16 regular and the navy sleeveless style in 16 Petite. Both have cups built in to the bodice, but they provide no support. Instread,they add weight to the chiffon-like fabric, making it feel sloppy. The prices fluctuated in July 2023 between $147.10 and $219.00.

I ordered this after trying on similar dresses with the same label at Macy's and was happy with their quality. This style is more what I wanted. I'm 5'3" and bought a petite but the bodice doesn't fit well, it's too long and gaps at the armholes. I'm going to have to have it altered but it will be worth it.

I like the color and that the dress fits me. I have tried soo many dresses and have had to return because of how they fit me. This is not the dress of my dreams but I need one asap and am happy with style, fit and quality. It is hand wash. I hand washed the bodice and layer it out to dry. Looks good. Sorry to report we can’t make dresses in USA. Made in china.

Im size 14/16 40DD and a 12 pant 5ft2inch height. This dress skirt loose will work for many shapes Apple or Pair and the Vneck good for bust size The skirt is small ribbon Rosettes with few sequen sprinkled thru .
