I was skeptical about buying a formal dresses online but I read the reviews and decided to take a chance on this Alex evening gown and am happy I did I bought the shell pink in size 24 which is what I normally wear and it fits me perfect l am 5"5in in height I like that the top of the dress and the sleeves are stretchy in a good way and reading the reviews help me and that's why am taking the time out to write this review to help someone that is plus size and afraid to buy online I recommend this dress and will buy again the dress was delivered way before time thanks very much for this very beautiful comfortable elegant dress

This dressed looks like it was made for me! I'm a 42 chest (c cup) and normally a size 18 or 20- depending on the cut (I've big hips). But this 14 W fits me perfectly- loose even- tough not in the best- it's just right. So this is NOT my idea of a 14. The color is stunning- much prettier (and rosier) than pictured. I just ordered some rose gold shoes to go with it- they match perfectly. The gown is the perfect length- to the tops of my ballet flats (I'm 5'9")- so if you are much shorter than I am, you will need to hem it. I look so elegant in this!!! I just could not be happier.

I ordered this dress at the last minute for my son's wedding when it was realized that a previous dress ordered from another website wasn't going to be delivered in time. I was relieved to see the option for making payments over time, and the color worked with the wedding party colors. I'm always afraid of ordering without knowing if it will fit, but this was a winner! It fit like a glove and the light bounced off the plum sequins perfectly at the reception venue, which generated lots of compliments. I bought this a a mother of the groom dress, along with three other dresses from different sellers. This one cost more than the others, but not more that I expected to pay, it’s the quality of a well made dress that you pay for! It is pretty, without being matronly. I bought it in navy, which was my second choice but the burgundy not available in my size, 20w. Fit was perfect, just too long. The dress is pictured as ankle length, and this was longer than gown length. I had anticipated having it hemmed anyway, so not a problem, just be aware. All in all, very happy with this dress!

We bought this for my mom to wear at my nephews outdoor wedding. It was light enough so she wasn’t too hot, yet thick enough to cover without being see through. She did have to adjust the shoulders as the neckline and shoulders were a tad big on her.

I purchased this dress to wear to my daughter's wedding and intended to wear it for several more functions. After wearing ONCE, I took it to my regular dry cleaners as per the instructions. During the cleaning, the glue that held the sequins on the bodice disintegrated and the sequins all fell off of the dress! Additionally, the glue drops stained the dress with black spots. I recommend that you DO NOT buy this dress unless you intend to wear it ONCE and throw it out!!!! UPDATE: While the quality of the dress was substandard, I update my review to three stars. Amazon stood by their product and allowed me to return the damaged item for some credit. Kudos to Amazon!
