Order your regular size. When I was shopping for my Mother of the Groom dress, I was noticing how very many of them were intended to be sexy. Hello, I’m his *stepmother*, and besides, there should only be one sexy woman at a wedding! Old-fashioned? Maybe. But the reason I chose this one (and the first one) is that it’s beautiful in an understated way. It isn’t sequined or beaded. The shimmer is woven into the fabric of the bodice and jacket. A nice result is that the fabric isn’t stiff. It flows. I couldn’t tell that from the online photos; I thought the jacket was going to be stiff, but my SIL lobbied hard for it Turns out, she had seen her neighbor in this exact dress, so she knew! I’m so grateful that I took her advice!! I do recommend having it altered to fit your shape best. This was my first experience of having clothing tailored (hemming doesn’t count!), but it won’t be my last! I look forward to my next opportunity to wear this beauty! It’s just too perfect, to only wear once!

I love this dress. I'm usually a 14W or a regular 18 (42 inch bust and large hips)- and this dress is amazingly flattering- I bought the 14W! I love the lace sweater- I'll definitely wear it with other things as well- and I found it comfortable. I thought this dress looked much better in person- it looks kind of blocky in the picture, but in person it is very slimming and the satin skirt is elegant. I buy formals for cruises, and I love that this isn't super heavy. Some of my lacy formals are really heavy- which means I can't carry as much other clothing. So I love this. It would be perfect for any formal occasion.

This dress is really pretty and well made, and the jacket helps hide my figure flaws. I just wish it came in more colors. My daughter is having a spring wedding and doesn't want me to wear a dark color like navy, so I'm sadly returning this one.

This dressed as even prettier than in the picture. I wore it to my son's wedding. The only problem I had with it is that it is a little long and I wore one inch heels but two inch heels would have been better in this dress. Other than that I would highly recommend..

Beautiful blue color, love the satin skirt, not crazy about the attached top but with the matching 3/4 sleeve jacket, very pretty. Having said that, had to cut several exposed threads from shoulder seam, dress top and jacket material does not match the advertised price in my opinion, but it worked for a State DAR conference!

18W fit me perfectly and hid a big tummy area. (5/7" tall and 200 lbs.) However, the lace was a bit scratchy and fit high on my neck in back & sides. The jacket did not hang well from the shoulders on me. The color is a subdued, somewhat dark "dusty" teal color. I think that was due to the chiffon overskirt. Pretty but not as bright as appears in the photo on my computer. The sequins brightened up the top.
