This is a high quality lovely dress. In my opinion the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a simple classy dress with good lining throughout, can wear with regular bra, and it’s high quality material. Size 14 fit me perfectly- 190lb, 5’6” and right at my ankles where I can wear cute flat slippers or heels. It’s also super comfortable. I’ll update my review after my event if needed. I used ‘try before you buy’, and instantly kept this, no brainer.

I’ve seen this dress at Dillards and it is beautiful. I ordered from Amazon to get the right size. When I took it out of the Amazon package, the clear plastic bag it came in was absolutely filthy and smelled bad. The dress smelled like dirty dry cleaning fluid so I didn’t even try it on. The bag was so dirty it got my hands dirty. The dress itself is very pretty, but the odor got me!

First, the pros : this dress is well-made. The fabric, polyester, is thick and the entire dress is heavy. The bead work on the sleeves is nicely done and the seller even included replacement beads. The dress is partially lined about to the knees. Although the slit is high, it comes to 4-5 inches above my knee, the dress is so weighty that it doesn't pop open much. The ruffle trim dangles next to the slit and helps to conceal it. The dress fit pretty perfectly. I've got broad shoulders and it fit acceptability. The length came just to the tops of my feet and I'm 5'8 shoeless. The sleeves come about 3 inches below my elbows and hang nicely. The beading looks very nice on the sleeves but adds a lot to the weight of the dress. There's also a couple of beads at the keyhole opening. I think it could use more. The keyhole isn't too low and doesn't reveal anything and I'm a 42D. There's a hidden zipper and a hook closure on the back neckline. Now the cons. The dress is heavy and hot so will only be appropriate for winter. The bodice makes me look flat chested for some reason. I dislike the wide neckline that shows bra straps and makes my shoulders look broader than they are. The dress might be appropriate for an older woman but made me look matronly. The ruching on the front makes my belly stand out more. Not a look I like. Shipping was problematic. The dress was on a hanger and in a dry cleaning bag but the shipper wadded it up in a bag. It arrived wrinkled. It's not machine wash or dry cleanable per the label. How are you supposed to get the wrinkles out? Any amount of pressing will leave marks on the fabric. All this is in no way the seller's fault. It's still a good quality dress, just doesn't look nice on me.

Love this, beautiful,,, hides belly area well and is comfortable. Color is not as bright as ad shows. I’m 5’4” ,,, 165 lb tried on size 14 regular to big and way to long. Size 14P too little. Finally size 16P was the right fit. This dress does run long,,, so that’s one reason I tried the petite size and I am a bit short waisted.

This dress is AMAZING! I chose it as my mother of the bride dress when my daughter told me I looked hot! I usually wear baggy shirts, leggings or dresses, so when I walked into the bridal studio where everyone was getting dressed, all of the bridesmaids gasped at me! I had so many compliments, and this dress made me feel beautiful. If you’re a plus size woman and are reserved about wearing a fitted dress, don’t with this one! You will love it! 3rd dress I've tried by Alex Evenings. On the surface, they look so pretty, but the design is just not executed as well as it should/could be. The bust seams/darts always seem to have too much fabric and add bulk or they have padding that serves no purpose. This dress, the bust seams (as you can see in photo) go from the arm. Looks interesting design, but when on it looks like it's pulling and gaping, does not lie flat on upper side of chest. So unflattering. Don't know why they do this.
