The rosettes gave it a bit of structure that would camouflage any problem areas. This was a contender for me when narrowing down my options. It was a 6 petite I believe. I wanted a 4 petite but it wasn’t available. The length was perfect. I am wearing medium heels in this photo but would have been fine with low heel or flats as well. I chose this gown in periwinkle for my granddaughter's wedding. It was perfect! I love the color and I got many compliments, even from people I didn't know. It is simple, modest, and flattering in design and the fabric is unique and lovely. Packs well, not a wrinkle. I felt like a queen. True to size although I did need to have it shortened. I bought a 14P and am 5'2", 140 pounds. Only drawback is you can't have it dry cleaned; instructions are to hand wash. Color is exactly as pictured, quality is perfect, as you would expect from Alex Evenings. Cut was very slimming, fabric weight was light so for an August event it was not too hot. Good Value and can be shortened to mid calf for more use. The sequins added a touch of sparkle but not overdoing it.

I tried this dress on at my local Belk store and loved it but it was in regular length and it was a return. So I searched online and saw that it does come in petite length. I was so happy to find it on Amazon in petite. It’s not super scratchy, maybe a little bit under the arms but it is flattering on me. I feel like it definitely runs true to size as I’m typically a size 12/14 and the 12P fits me perfectly. I’m glad I can wear my usually bras with it and not have to purchase a strapless bra. I’m ordering two more (less expensive) dresses from overseas sellers just to compare and make a final decision on what I’ll wear for my son’s wedding in October. ... show more

Very unhappy with this order. I returned the dress shortly after I received it because it didn’t fit well. The returned dress was received by Amazon nearly a month ago. Refund was supposed to be issued, but has been delayed twice. The dress was returned in exactly the same condition it was received with the tag attached. This is the first time I've ever bought a fancy, formal dress online and I'm not going to lie..I wasn't feeling all that confident. The dress arrived in a nice well-sealed bag inside the Amazon packaging. Out came a beautiful dark blue dress of material which felt thick enough (but NOT heavy) to hold it's shape. It has just a bit of a shimmer in the lace which is so nice. The dress fit so well (I'd ordered a Petite size) I think I could've walked out the door at that moment.
