I waited to write this review until I wore the dress for a formal event and then washed it. This Alex Evenings woman’s long cold shoulder dress is just wonderful!! It is great quality material and stitching. Arrived within 10 days or less. The fit was perfect (however I did have it hemmed 3 - 4 inches shorter as I’m only 5’2” and ordered regular length (if the dress came in petite sizes I missed that) I am 170 lbs with most of my weight in the bum and thighs. This dress shows curves beautifully. It gently pulls the waist in and has a front type overlay which is forgiving in the waist. The stretch in the material makes it so comfortable without binding you. I tried it on and my husband loved the curves in it! I had a formal wedding to attend, and got so many compliments on the dress. I’m 68 and felt like a prom Queen, haha!! Buy this dress, you will love it. I also washed the dress. Directions state wash in cold by hand. But I put the dress in a large laundry bag I use for my delegates (about 25” X 25” laundry bag I got at TJMaxx) and washed in cold water on my delicate cycle in washing machine. I hung it on hanger to dry and it turned out beautiful!

I saw this dress in a well-known department store for about $139. I was pleasantly surprised to see this on Amazon as "Condition: Used - Very Good" for $36.76. I ordered it thinking that the worst-case scenario would be that I would have to wash it. Nope, it came with tags attached! Great find and even better savings! As stated in the headline, it has a little stretch in it -- enough to be comfortable without being clingy. The rouching across the front helps hide any belly issues! It was easy to steam out the shipping wrinkles, and stayed looking good for the entire night. Very pleased with this dress.

I tried this dress on in the store but they didn't have it in petite, regular length was over a foot too long. I'm 5'3" and the petite length is perfect. I went up a size because most petite sizes are a little smaller overall. It is a great fit and beautiful. I'm looking forward to wearing it to a holiday party.
