This dress is lovely and very flattering but shocked how it was a packaged and delivered. In tight small plastic bag and smashed into my small mailbox. I ordered 2 different dresses, one from Amazon and one from retail store. No comparison in packaging. The one from retail store was perfect. Not sure if I can get the wrinkles out of this dress. May have to return. Improvement needed in packaging Amazon!

Love this, beautiful,,, hides belly area well and is comfortable. Color is not as bright as ad shows. I’m 5’4” ,,, 165 lb tried on size 14 regular to big and way to long. Size 14P too little. Finally size 16P was the right fit. This dress does run long,,, so that’s one reason I tried the petite size and I am a bit short waisted.

Color was not a cobalt, but a navy blue. I got a 6P (don't know why they have it listed as a plus-sized dress only) through the "try before you buy" program. Dress had a strong (but not unpleasant) scent, which dissipated after it had been out for a while. A curly hair (there isn't a curly-haired person in this house!) fell out when I opened the package, and one of the tags was torn. Dress was somewhat big in the bust, but that is rather disguised but the dark color. Otherwise it fit fine...I am 5'3'' and plan to wear low heels with it. It was very classy looking, and so I decided to keep it for my son's wedding next fall.

3rd dress I've tried by Alex Evenings. On the surface, they look so pretty, but the design is just not executed as well as it should/could be. The bust seams/darts always seem to have too much fabric and add bulk or they have padding that serves no purpose. This dress, the bust seams (as you can see in photo) go from the arm. Looks interesting design, but when on it looks like it's pulling and gaping, does not lie flat on upper side of chest. So unflattering. Don't know why they do this.

The fabric in this dress was very heavy. Too much for me. And the dress was “wadded” up plus it had been folding in the middle of the jeweled collar making it lay awkwardly. I could not get it to lay flat. I order from Amazon a lot and normally, packaging is good, but this was not. I am looking for a dress to wear in my son’s wedding and I will continue hoping to find just the right one.
