I love Alegria shoes. This is my 2nd pair of Alegrias - I'm still using my first pair even though I purchased them nearly four years ago! They are definitely orthopedic-style shoes with a very firm, supportive heel/base that conforms to your feet the more you use it. I am a teacher and hence on my feet nearly all day. These are some of the only shoes that won't hurt my feet. The shape is a little unique, but if you can get past that, they are truly comfortable. These run in European sizes, so they tend to run a little big. I am a 7.5 and I got a 38 and they fit perfectly.

Got a size 9 and they were a little big. When I walked my heel would slide up. I put in a thick insole, helped a little but still big. With in insole they are very comfortable other than being a little large. Nice shoes though. Maybe go 1/2 size down.

I love Alegria shoes! I work in a lab so I'm on my feet all day on hard floors. My shoes have to be closed toe and heel plus impermeable to liquids. These shoes fit the bill and also look so cute! The soles are so supportive that it brings relief to my back and hips. They help to correct my posture while I wear them. I can also just buy replacement soles from the company instead of buying a whole new pair of shoes. I usually buy the Debra style but the Kara style was on sale so I thought I'd try them out. These are just as supportive as the Debras, they just don't have the rocking step feature. I find I like them just as well.

I love these shoes! They are very comfortable and I wear them even when I’m not working at the restaurant. I am however disappointed that the finish appears to peel off if they get wet and they aren’t very durable. These are only 2 months old! I can’t help them getting wet around the sinks and clean up time but I think this is a little ridiculous for the price. My last pair lasted forever so maybe it’s just the finish on the brown shoes that has this issue. Anyway they don’t last long and I need to look professional so these aren’t going to work for me any longer. Great shoes but not durable.

I own another pair of these shoes in a different color that have held up well since 2018. These shoes in black, however, are made of a different material and the toe area started peeling soon after I got them. I tried polishing the shoes but it wore right off. Now I have resorted to filling in the noticeable white exposed areas with a sharpie. It doesn't last too long because more areas start peeling. It's embarrassing to wear them, but I still wear them often because I haven't gotten around to getting a new pair of everyday shoes. I've had the shoes for about a year and they are comfortable. I can't recommend Alegria brand anymore after this experience. If you get them, be sure to select a pair made of real leather and definitely not the faux leather.
