I bought these shoes about 7 months ago. I’m just getting around to an honest review. At first I thought they were great now not at all. They seemed comfortable, but then my big toes started hurting. I thought well maybe it’s just the breaking in part, so I continued to wear them, big mistake. I’ve never had an ingrown toenail in my life until these shoes. I experienced the painful, ugly condition due to these shoes, which were not even tight own me. I bought these due to standing and walking 8 hours a day on cement. I work in a busy casino. As shown in the pic they scuffed within the 1st month. My toes are finally healing. Bye Bye Algeria shoes! ... show more

My daughter and I have worn these for years and hang onto them as long as our toes don't show. I just bought two more pairs. It is really good to order a size-whatever-yours-is in one style, then order another style later on, and the size is always the same fit.

The shoes look great. However, I went with my gut and ordered my size vs the larger size. It is still too large. I may keep the shoes for the fall & winter when thicker socks are needed.

    • Walnut color is destroyed after normal wear

I have several pairs of this shoe in different colors and materials and Alegria is my favorite shoe brand. I absolutely love this particular shoe, but the finish on the walnut leather wears off almost immediately and they look scuffed and nasty. Within 3 months of rotating wear, mine are basically junk. I wear them to walk the dog :( I wrote the company and they said they are meant to be "distressed", but I didn't notice that in the description. They're more than distressed - color is even worn off where my jeans hit the back of the shoe. Alegria is willing to do a one-time replacement for another color/finish when I mail these in, so that's a plus. ... show more

These shoes are awesome. They are supportive and comfortable. They are true to size and pretty wide although people with very wide feet may find them snug. Easy to slip on and off these are great for travel (especially if you have to slip your shoes off at the airport). I’ve bought other shoes from this brand and they lasted for years.
