Do NOT order these! They're like crack. I bought a bag for my son last Christmas. None of the local candy stores had them. We were told that they couldn't keep them in stock because they kept flying off the shelves. My son, evil child that he is, shared a few of these chews with me. Shouldn't have done it. Since then I've ordered half a dozen bags for myself! They're like a soft, flavorful taffy that doesn't stick to your teeth. I give them 2 thumbs WAY up!!

Update: I had to change my review to a better rating than I initially gave this candy. I found out that there was a flavor that tasted bad, but not all. I'm an honest person and can admit when I was incorrect. That said, I am not a professional reviewer and this is my honest review of this item. This candy is authentically good and taste like how I remember it BUT I hate the grape flavor and it seems like there is more grape pieces than I'd like in the bag. Overall, this was a good buy from the seller. I'm leaving my initial review, below, only to show that I've honestly changed my review once I found out it was my taste, not the item's quality. First review: I grew up eating this candy. So I know what it should taste like. I actually purchased this same type of candy from another seller on Amazon, prior to purchasing from this seller, and the candy from the other seller was good. However, I thought I'd save a couple of bucks and buy a bag of chews from this seller this time. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. I will not purchase candy from this seller anymore because the bag of chews I received tasted off in flavor and the texture was weirdly too soft-almost like soft gum but not taffy-like how chews are supposed to taste. I guess I received a bad batch but I won't purchase this type of candy from this seller again.

I absolutely love these candies. I used to get them from Family Dollar during the Halloween season. Then all of sudden they stopped selling them. I thought they had stopped making these until I saw someone on facebook post a picture of it. How excited was I when I saw these on Amazon. What don't Amazon have!! I almost ate the whole bag in one day lol. Oh for the people that said they got different flavors that what was shown. Even when I bought these out of a store, some bags had one or two blue raspberry. And some bags had plenty. Its not the seller's fault, its Albert's production. I will be reordering soon.

This is the exact same "penny candy" that I used to buy as a kid! The flavor and texture are still the same after all these years. This candy is very addictive! The texture of this candy is not suppose to be soft. You toss it around your mouth to gnaw on it, flatten it out with your teeth and let it become malleable. Don't bite down hard on this candy, just gently gnaw on it. Imagine trying to soften up clay with your hands, it's sort of like that. This assortment has six flavors: strawberry, peach, grape, blue raspberry, wild cherry, green apple. This candy is delicious! I am super impressed that this is the same old fashioned candy and they haven't changed the recipe. Just take your time to savor the flavors!

These were terrible quality. I’ve purchase these before, and the others were all fine. These were hard and crunchy and should not be. Of course as this is a food item there is no recourse for buyers which is awful because I know I paid more for these than I would if I could find them at a store nearby. I’d give zero stars if i could.

As a kid I used to get these candies in my bag every year when I trick-or-treated, but I could never find them anywhere no matter how much I looked. I've only ever seen them sold at a couple of gas stations in Louisiana, loose at that, and nowhere else. It has always been a mystery to me where people were getting them around Halloween, since absolutely nobody seemed to sell them locally. That being said, these things are really tasty and addictive. When I ordered my first bag from Amazon, after not having any in years, I ended up eating so many in one sitting that I got sick from all the sugar, so definitely eat these sparingly. Next time I run out, I think I will order a bag of the blue raspberry ones.

Beware eating these. I took a few and the next thing you know I had practically eaten my body weight in these. I actually had to get rid of the few remaining pieces because they are THAT GOOD. I hate that I came across these cause now I want more.

The fruit chews were just as I remembered from my childhood penny candy days. I guess it is a good value for the dollar. When I used to purchase these in the 70s, they were a penny per piece. The candy was delicious and fresh. It was not stale. I will definitely buy again.
