Every single item has stood the test of time and am in bed head to toe with the New Diamond Collection Pillowcases 100% 22 Grade 6A long fiber mulberry silk and have slept on them for months before adding my experience. There is even more gliding and a new level of comfort. I highly recommend 22mm as it is a silk weight reference and pillcowases tend to require more cleanings than sheets. Obviously, I am addicted and the core of my addiction is when MY CHRONIC ACNE was GONE thanks to 18 aminos acids. Thicker hair and eyelashes, also, still have not experienced my first wrinkle and by all means I should have by now! Thank God for a spa guru recommending Mulberry silk to me. Never expected a mulberry silk binge would Cure me of chronic ACNE, Thicken my hair and eyelashes, and keep my skin smooth without a single wrinkle and I am almost 36 no wonder Empresses chose this to sleep and dress in (NO botox, crows feet, etc.) Always by 18-22 momme (silk thread count as it lasts the test of time) NEVER leave in water more than 15 mins, NEVER ever bleach. If you do use the washer machine and it comes out rough do not fret the first time, one night or two it will become smooth again. Amazing! Right?! Well, unless you used a harsh detergent like Tide and left in the water too long. Stick with hand washing, again they do not need to be washed weekly, unlike cotton that soils. I hand wash in cold water with Mulberry Silk detergent. Lay flat and gently tug for no wrinkles. Wrinkles come out fast after the first to a 3rd night slept on. Steaming inside out is highly effective at gently killing bacteria/odor (it is used to get cigarette smell out by industry cleaners) and I recommend doing this when you first receive if you smell an odor it is just the very thick reusable high-quality resealable plastic it arrives in. The ORIGINAL unedited review... Ordered one standard case to compare to the silk 'oosilk' brand (turned out not to be authentic Update 2019) as well as a few others as I am silk connoisseur, & now own 25 pillowcases and many other silk bedding items. I initially thought it may just be another one night stand. Most of the silk I have ordered on Amazon has been an expensive faux disappointment. I will keep the case as it is beautiful and hope it becomes even softer after a few washes, but I keep reaching for oosilk every night probably because I've had it for over a year and has become softer. Alaska Bear will most likely become even better with use! • Yes, silk THIN, ironically genuine silk is some of the strongest & long lasting fibers in the world known to mankind despite thinness. You will have absolutely no issues with transparency if you use pure white protectors as I do, as seen in pictures below, If you don't use pillow protector or order the Alaska bear 25 mm 900 tc. I love it! • Found it easy to search AB products using 'AlaskaBear Silk' in search to see a high range if bedding items. • After a wash and a few months, I am favoring Alaska bear to OOSilk. It is much more durable and luxe. • Silk wicks away moisture 2x (50%) faster than cotton making it self-heat and cooling regulating also bacteria and dust mites cannot live in mulberry silk. • OEKO-TEX® Certified. Safe! Yet, that does not mean it is Mulberry silks plenty of vendor have this and state on descriptions MS, but you end up with just 100% Silk or 100% Pure Silk with certification. The sewn in tags must state 100%was Mulberry Silk. Always. Always. Always check interior tag. MYK Sleep wear sets are known for this and rip and fall apart while Alaska Bear has never done that. They only become better with proper care. • I recommend to use/buy an inexpensive handheld streamer which will de-wrinkle, kill bacteria, and deodorize the cases gently. Make sure to steam inside out. These cases do not wrinkle badly if you use one size down from your pillow size a trick that keeps them seamless and wrinkle-free as there is always extra fabric. The Pinzo Pillow is the biggest body pillowcase you can find and fits great. • If wrinkles aren't for you buy satin, it's cheaper, doesn't wrinkle, but it is hot feeling and looks faux (super fake), unlike mulberry silk that is self-heat regulating (it yous hot it cools-- if your cold it warms-- nature's SMART technology). Personally, I can't stand the plastic look of Satin. Oh... And it's flammable, unlike silk which won't catch a flam easily (that's how you know it's genuine). Best to click the link above and order the thicker silk pillowcase. Satin. If your "silk is slippery it's really satin... They get you by using the word silky. • Cotton rips out lashes, hair, and pulls essential moisture away from the skin. I own duvets, flat/fitted Alaska sheets to every size and momme count in all bedding collection to the eye masks and it is only 1 of 2 brands that can stand the test of time and only get better with proper care (huge emphasis).... Never seems coming apart or random fibers disintegrating into fray like holes like FF & MYK (MYK bedding is MS they claim sleepwear is and it is labeled 100% pure silk-- avoid, return, or pay for the aggravation). These are amazing... they've been used daily for almost 18 months and are still in near-new condition. Very well made, sturdy, wear incredibly well, machine wash and dry beautifully (I do everything on cold), and are so comfortable to sleep on. No zipper issues or problems with seams ripping or fraying, wrinkling or staining. It was so hard to shop for silk pillowcases... confusing claims, reviews all over the map, meaningless ratings, crazy pricing, just complete overload. Somehow I managed to decide on these very reasonably-priced ones, and I continue to be amazed by their quality and longetivity. My skin and fine hair love sleeping on them. The product tag indicates that they were the same color, however, one is a lighter color blue than the other. I kept both but next time I will order 2 just to be sure there isn't a color difference. This silky heaven doesn't just feel good to rest your face upon but it also prevents those nasty breakouts you get from those dirty-breading-grounds-for'bacteria that are other pillowcases. It had a bit of a smell when I first opened it and I had not prepared to have Woolite or other delicate cleaner to clean the case on hand. I used a little vinegar to give it a quick rinse and everything worked out. Just be prepared to clean it upon arrival and it's GREAT.

I've bought several of these over the last few years. Unless you want to take the time and effort to hand-wash them, their lifespan is pretty short, only about 6 months. I actually think this is less from washing, and more from the fact that the opening is just a little too narrow for a standard-size pillow, even when using the king-size pillow case. After some time, they begin to rip at the corners of the zipper. I still love them, though. They take a couple washes to fully soften up. As with all silk, if you machine wash it, be sure to also machine dry it. The heat and movement restores the softness and shine. ... show more
