very comfortable allows me to take a sip or eat without removing the helmet has a sun visor all the Necessities needed. . I've never had an issue with the functionality of any of the features. And l luv the feeling that i don't need reuse after an accident because they make it affordable enough for me to buy another one. All these type helmets may be safe but they do interfere with the pleasure of riding. They are also not always compatible with sunglasses. Just quite awkward in several ways. Strongly prefer the older type not covering ears and chin. The best is, of course, no helmet at all, but it is also risky.

I've recently gotten back into motorcycle riding. Previously I'd pay top dollar for Arai and Shoei helmets, those helmets are $1000 now. I was looking for value this time around, let's face it, what saves your head is the foam lining in the helmet. Any helmet is finished after 1 crash. Rule of thumb is to replace the helmet every 5 years, are you gonna do that with a $1000 helmet? Anyway, about this helmet: it's light but sturdy, it fits well - a little hard around the edges at first for me around the forehead but it's broken in and comfortable now after a few days; I love the integrated sun visor; I like the easy release chin strap. Negatives: the rubber breath shield kept falling out and I've lost it - I've contacted AHR and asked for a replacement; because of the nice quick release chin strap, there's no D-ring to lock into the bikes helmet lock (but I prefer the quick release). Overall - I like it so much I ordered 1 for my wife. ... show more

The lightweight shell and dual visors make this a helmet you can wear all day and not get any neck strain. The last modular helmet I had wasn't as light, and with a long cruise it required a stop every 50-75 miles. It also didn't have the dark visor so there was the need to have sunglasses available. This is my third new helmet over the last two years, and I really like the new style strap system. Makes strapping it on and taking it off quite a bit easier. All in all, was a good purchase and should be a good investment over the long run. ... show more
