This came on time. Was well wrapped. Envelope design had a bubble wrap layer inside . When I pulled out product, it was in its own bubble warp pouch. It's extremely hot right now. Over 100 degrees. I was afraid it would melt or ooze. It did not. It was perfectly fine. The look of the contour kit is so nice. Smooth and sleek. The contour kit design really pops. A added bonus for me because i thought it looked high end and professional.. It was my first time using a kit to contour of any kind.. I've used darker Fondation and lighter to do contouring in the past. I wanted to try the real version for a long while. I worried I'd buy it and it would not be that much of a difference to actually want to use it. I'm glad I did finally purchase it. I love this! Was so easy to use. I did great first try. Plenty of instructions. I found my face shape but did not want to use all the contouring it showed. I only did my cheeks, Jaw line and forhead.. Personal preference. . Crazy how just a dab and a smear in the right place makes such a big difference. I like that it didn't take much to make me look a little more glamorous. A little went a long way for me. I'm glad I went sparingly as I tried it. If u dont, u will use to much. It does not feel thick. I have very oily skin. I struggled with it hourly until I found a makeup routine that works for me and stops it. So I was concerned this contour cream would make me a oil slick again by adding it to my face. It did not. So I'm very happy to add this to my cosmetics collection. When i run out of this product, I will buy this again.

I received a tester version of a different product in a monthly subscription service. I loved it, but I knew it would be expensive. I finally worked up the nerve to go online and see how much a full sized palette would be so I could prepare my husband for the charge. Instead, I found the Aesthetica Contour kit. I was nervous at first since it was a brand I'd never heard of before, but I started researching and found it it's actually very highly rated. I found YouTube tutorial videos for this specific product and watched all I could find. I finally took the chance and ordered, and I'm so glad I did. It's wonderful, and even comes with instructions IN the palette! Some tips: if you're older like me, be sure to use a primer. I have large pores and have been working to shrink them with pore refining cleansers and dedicated skin care. Even still, I must use a primer before any foundation. Also, I use very little foundation. I'm freckle faced and I LOVE my freckles, so I only use the thinnest layer of foundation. Playing with the colors in the palette was fun, but I had a hard time figuring out which color combination is right for me. Hang in there - you'll get it! Also, don't OVERblend. I was doing that at first and was frustrated thinking the product's pigmentation or consistency was poor. Nope - I was blending TOO much! And lastly, be sure to set with a translucent powder. Again, if you're older, powder can be tricky, so always remember less is more! LOVE this product!

I bought this product as a beginning contour kit. I would say I'm reasonably experienced in the basics of makeup (foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, concealer, lipstick) but have recently felt the urge to delve deeper into its many facets. Among these are the infamous contouring and highlighting. I originally watched a video review of both this kit and the IT Cosmetics kit: cream vs. powder, less contrasting vs. more contrasting colors, different packaging, etc. After a lot of pros and cons, I decided to go with this one, as the colors seemed to apply well, it is compact, and it offers more shades that are closer to my own skin tone (fair/light). I was initially disappointed upon receiving this product. It arrived covered in a thin layer of bubble wrap inside of an envelope, whereas I had expected it to arrive nicely packaged and boxed up. Furthermore, because of the close proximity of the product and its packaging, the warm weather of that day heated it up and upon opening the contour kit, some of the cream on the top had melted and turned into a liquid film. You can imagine that I was NOT a happy camper. However, the cream did work fairly well (after everything cooled off and dried). You have to layer a bit, and I consider that a plus since I'm a beginner and less is more. The shades apply with more of an orange tone than I would prefer, particularly with my skin since anything that deviates even a bit from normal shows up more on light tones. I have not experienced any breakouts from the product. The packaging of the actual product, in contrast to its arrival state, is quite nice; it comes inside a cardboard slip along with a packet that tells you how to contour and highlight different areas of your face as well as offers diagrams for a visual aid in how to contour and highlight various face shapes. Upon opening the actual cream kit, there is another (transparent plastic) diagram of a woman's face with marks indicating general areas where one would contour and highlight. Overall, I think that this is an acceptable beginning contour kit. The cream is of good quality, does not wear off over the course of the day, and layers well. The shades are versatile. The fact that they comes off orange may only be the result of my skin type (I have the same problem with drugstore foundations). I am deducting a star mainly because of the state in which this product arrived, and I hope that this will not happen to other people.

This is kind of my first attempt at real contouring. I've attempted it slightly in the past, by putting on my skin colored foundation, followed by a slightly darker powder for contouring, finished off with a lighter face color. It never really looked like contouring. After watching a few Youtube videos, I decided to buy 'real' contouring makeup. It's kind of fun to paint your face like a warrior. I put down a base with liquid foundation, slightly lighter than my own skin color. I then make dark brown streaks in all of the areas I want to create shadow. I usually blend this in before I add the white highlights. I have to admit, I was wary the first time I wore the makeup in public. To me, it felt very thick and obvious. I thought I would only be able to use it at night, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I've been using it for daily wear, and no one has told me it's too thick. In fact, my boss commented on how refreshed I looked, saying I was just glowing. It does need another application if you plan to take wear it all day and into the night. You don't have to redo all of the zebra stripes, but if it gets past 6:00 and I want to wear it out, I just take a thick blending brush, tap it into the color and put another slight application on. I spray it with a finishing spray after every application. The only concern I have is that the makeup trays are kind of tiny for the amount of makeup you have to apply for effective contouring. I have a feeling I'm never going to use much of the deepest brown, being extremely fair skinned, so I have a feeling all of the colors I use will run out fairly quickly and leave me with a few tones I don't need.

I did not like this product, however about 90% of my reason for not liking it was because it was wayyyy too light for me. My skin is not very dark (I am black, but I am not dark, I am like a d6 covergirl foundation shade haha), but the darkest shade was barely visible, it actually goes on very sheer. I am giving it three stars because the product probably would have been pretty okay if the shades fit my skin tone. I was able to use it to contour my nose, but the darkest shade did not even show up on my cheeks and jawline. With that being said, its not a half bad product, but if you are a woman of color, this will not show up on you. Its easy to apply, blends well and sets with powder easily. It came quickly, everything was in place and it was packaged well. :) Hope this helps!

I love this. My second time buying it, it blends well, and provides full coverage. It is thick but moisturizer and primer before, help a lot. The mirror was broke this time though, but product was fine.
