Since this was for a Halloween costume, I picked the cheapest one I could find and I’m not crazy about it but I think it’s a fair value for what I paid. It’s fits fine and there are no holes or problems, etc. but I knew when it came in a package about the size of a quart freezer bag, it was going to be very thin and lightweight… which I actually wanted so no complaints there. For me though, I wanted something that wasn’t shiny (and it’s really hard to tell with black material just from a picture.) This is definitely that same type of costume material that most store-bought costumes are might of, almost like a graduation robe. I gave it four stars because I only paid something like $11 or $13. I can’t remember. For that price, even though the fabric looks very cheap, it’s built well, and it fits well so I guess that’s fair. Being that it was so cheap, I expected it to be like that but I was hoping I would get lucky and it wouldn’t be so shiny lol. If you just want a Halloween robe to wear one night to walk around in the dark, this is a good deal. Otherwise, If you are cosplaying a specific character or taking photos etc, maybe consider paying a little bit more. (However, in my experience, all these little cheap Halloween robes look like this under a $30 price point so you might as well go with this one If you don’t want to pay much.) ... show more

This hooded cloak has a nice medieval look and works well for a costume or short-term wear. The hood is generously sized and creates the dramatic effect you’d expect for a knight or fantasy outfit. The length is also decent for most adults and gives good coverage without dragging on the ground. The main limitation is the material. The fabric is thin and feels more like costume polyester than a heavy or structured cloak. It does not provide warmth and wrinkles easily, which affects the overall appearance up close. The stitching is acceptable for the price, but not reinforced, so it may not hold up well to frequent use or long events. Fit is fairly loose and forgiving, but it is more of a one-size style. Taller or broader individuals may find it shorter or less draped than expected. There are no closures beyond a simple tie, which works but feels basic. Overall, this is a solid option for Halloween, cosplay, or a one-night event where appearance matters more than durability.
