We purchased these for an upcoming trip to a rainy region so my daughter would have water resistant sneakers. (We also spritzed them with Nikwax for extra protection, and they still look great!) Full disclosure, they have not experienced a serious downpour yet, but they appear water resistant enough for our needs so far. The super tight canvas weave helps. Cute shoes! I am a consistent customer of Adidas sneakers with numerous pairs. Unfortunately this style sneaker just isn’t living up to the expectations I had. I love the color and the design and really wanted to love the sneaker. Unfortunately, the back is designed in such a way that it rubs into the back of my upper ankle. I have the same size in all my pairs and this pair fit. The high part of the back rubbed so badly that it broke skin on my upper ankle. I would return these if it wasn’t for the blood stain on the sneakers. I do not recommend this style. Adidas offers more comfortable options.
