  • Not a minimalist shoe, but has zero drop and wide toe box
Size: 12 Women/10 Men Color: Core Black/Ftwr White/Grey Six
Size 10 US = 28 cm. I switched the laces with my elastic laces, heel lock lace style. I am a huge believer in barefoot shoes but I needed something with support for my ankles over supination. This shoe has zero drop and a very spacious, wide toe box. I cannot stress how impressed I am that a mainstream company like Adidas created a foot shaped toe box! Most mainstream manufacturers create diamond shape shoes which destroy the toe's bone alignment, cause friction blisters and weaken the foot arch. The cushion is firm and stable. It can handle heavy weights and is perfect for dead lifts and squats. Its thick enough to play tennis in- While something like barefoot shoes aren't built to handle this shoe really feels like a cross trainer. Not the best for jogging comfort but gets the job done. The soles are flat and wide so the foot is secure and ankle over supination is virtually eliminated, especially on lifts. Velcro strap adds more support and are not a gimmick. I removed the insole to add more width and was surprised by how plush the inside footbed is. Very soft and premium finish for such a low price. Traction is strong but the rubber is soft so durability is the weak point of the soles. The upper is nice and stretchy but again secure. I lift weights, went jogging and play tennis in these shoes and they are simply sublime. I spent many years and thousands to find the perfect shoe and this is very, very close. Only complaint is replacing the outer sole with something more sturdy and a herring bone pattern for more traction. But that's a minor complaint really. TLDR: Wide toe box, stability shoe with firm cushioning and solid traction. ... show more

  • Quality shoe
Size: 10.5 Women/8.5 Men Color: Core Black/Ftwr White/Grey Six
I have weak ankles and need a firm sole. This shoe fills the need. The sole is very firm, ideal for weight training and cross fit. The strap is very secure via Velcro and supports your instep.

  • Underrated zero-drop wide toe-box everyday shoe
---- PSA: Don't buy this shoe if you don't like arch support, the Total has heavy arch support even after taking out the removable insoles. ---- I've been looking for a transitional 'barefoot' shoe with a wide toe-box and zero-drop heel that I could wear everyday. This product caught my eye and even though this shoe is marketed as a lifting shoe I thought it could work for me just fine even if I don't lift. This shoe actually exceeds expectations. - Design is sleek, understated and sporty, the wide toe-box doesn't look awkward, and the black/grey colorway looks fantastic. - Sole is stiff and thick compared to a barefoot shoe but keep in mind this is not a barefoot shoe. Groundfeel is non-existent as expected. - Shoe fits true to size, might be a bit snug at first but is comfortable once broken in. Overall I recommend if you want an everyday casual shoe with a wide toe-box, zero-drop heel and substantial arch support. ... show more

  • Perfect weightlifting shoes without the heal rise.
I'm a week into trying these weightlifting shoes and I love them. I lifted for years in Converse, and when I would try transitioning to actual weightlifting shoes, the rise in the heal always threw off my squats and deadlifts, and the last thing I want to do during a workout is be changing shoes for different lifts, or walking around barefoot when I want to deadlift. These are sort of the best of both worlds, providing the stability, flat base, and snug fit from the strap over the arch that a weightlifting shoe offers, while the wide toe base gives your feet room to expand without any slipping and they are light as a feather, so any jumps during pull lifts feel very natural. Squats, deadlifts, floor pulls, all feel great wearing these, so much better than the old Converse sneakers, which really aren't as great for lifting, or for your feet in general. At least that's my experience. I also like how they look more like an athletic shoe than most other weightlifting shoes that tend to look too flashy or just goofy. By the way, I don't have wide feet, and didn't have any issues with them being to wide, even though they are described as being for wide feet. As for walking or running, these are not for that, though you could get away with them on elipticals, rowers, or other machines that don't require a whole lot of flex in your foot. I wouldn't, but mostly because I don't want to wear them out for lifting prematurely by using them for something they're not made for. ... show more

  • Not stable at all
I did not like these shoes at all. They may be a good shoe for deadlifting (or so I'm told), but I thought they lacked the rigidity for anything else. There's no support here, and the velcro strap is pointless. It adds nothing to the fit or feel of the shoe. The low drop nature of the shoe also made them a bit too unstable for exercises like Bulgarian split squats, and kickstand Romanian Deadlifts. Personally, I like a shoe that feels planted into the ground, and these do not feel that way. Not recommended. YMMV ... show more

  • Excellent Strength Trainer
Size: 8 Women/13.5 Men Color: Core Black/Ftwr White/Grey Six
As an old pro strongman, I'm very particular about my training/competition footwear. The Total has a zero rise, low compression, low stack height midsole paired with a directional traction outsole, a wide, foot shaped toebox, an unrestrictive ripstop upper and the pièce de résistance, a great metatarsal strap- something you don't see on trainers nowadays. This isn't a traditional alll-in-one cross-trainer due to the simple fact that running in them would be a lesson in misery, however it is an excellent shoe if your focus is weight training, strongman, powerlifting and HIIT / Crossfit. Bear in mind though that they do run 1/2 to 1 full size large. I normally wear a 14.5 (14-15) and these fit perfectly in a 13.5. ... show more
