I play basketball and volleyball, and the two absolute most important things I care about in a shoe are lockdown (how securely in place my foot feels inside the shoe,) and traction. This excels at both. Particularly, for the lockdown, the lacing system this shoe uses helps greatly with that. If I tie them well, I feel no shifting of my foot inside the shoe. It feels like my foot and the shoe are the same, compared to other models where you make a cut and you can feel a little movement internally. The traction is similarly great. I have no complaints there. For me personally, I had to go 1/2 size down from my normal size, as adidas seems to run a little wider and longer. If I had gone to my true size, I would have really had to crank on the laces to stay in place, and there would have been more room vertically in the toe. Not only is the design one of my favorites, but when you combine the great design with equally great performance, these are an excellent purchase. I have several pairs because of it! ... show more

Our grandson and his Basket ball team decided that they would all get this shoe. Well the shoes are a hot popular item. Sold out most places. I did find a pair on Amazon that was not sold by Amazon but a private person on Amazon. The shoe was what our grandson wanted the price was outrageous as the seller wanted more than the stores. But we were determined to get those shoes. When the shoes arrived they were in original box? But the paper Amazon bag was damaged therefore so was the addidas box. The addidas tissue paper wrap inside the box was torn in several places. NOT FROM SHIPPING I wanted to return but the return method would not have been an enjoyable transaction. I did tape the box with clear wrapping tape tried to smooth the wrinkles out and hoped they were correct size. Our Grandson opened them early and he was overjoyed. As grands we were happy but not at all happy with the mailing of this item. ... show more
