Bought these because I needed comfy shoes for doing the yard and out of nostalgia (my Dad has always worn Sam Smith’s to mow the yard- the greens go well together). They would be perfect if I weren’t so flat footed but I’ll fix that with Dr Scholls. Most impressive, after mowing/trimming they still look pretty new. They do squeak btw but that won’t matter to me. Love them. Used it at my wedding like the comfortable shoes en “la hora loca”. I kept using them, but they are not that comfortable for long walks or using them all days.

    • Came without the box
It's a bit disheartening to see the way Amazon often handles your packages, and here when you buy a big brand item, especially shoes, you expect them in their box. They came in a plastic bag, sort of vulgar. In addition to the fact that it took more than 2 days for the delivery despite the fact that I have a prime subscription, I live downtown of a big city with an Amazon warehouse close-by, I should have simply gone to a store to get them in their box without waiting. Now I did chat with customer service who guaranteed I had a brand new item, it wasn't a return, just an accident. Fine, and they gave me a 20% discount which I appreciate because I did not want to sent them back when they fit me and I like them and I waited! Onto the shoes themselves, I finally caved, they are so soft and comfortable, do size down a bit. I'm in-between a 6 and 7, or 37-38 in Europe, I went with a 6 (or 37 EU) and they fit nicely and I did read that they loosen quite a lot with time. I was excited to receive these sneakers in the mail, as I had been looking for a new pair to wear for everyday casual wear. However, my excitement was quickly replaced by disappointment when I put them on for the first time. The sneakers felt stiff and uncomfortable, and the material seemed cheap and flimsy. After just one wear, the sneakers were already noticeably deformed. The creases in the toe box were deep and wrinkled, and the overall shape of the shoe looked worn and out of place. I was shocked at how quickly the sneakers had deteriorated, especially considering that I had only worn them for a few hours. I am very disappointed with the quality of these sneakers. They are not comfortable, durable, or well-made. I would not recommend them to anyone. ... show more

I was planning to take these on a 2-week trip to Europe and I was not feeling confident that they would be super comfortable, but they were great! After just a couple of days in them, they became my go-to shoe for the trip. I've been a slip-on Vans person for many years, but I'm too old now and they hurt my feet after long walks.
