Always had an eye on these shoes but never pulled the trigger. Didn't really think about the "fake" thing until I read more reviews on the shoes. The vulc adv is being sold on other popular and trusted websites. After comparing the the zoomed in pics on other sites and the shoes I got, they are identical. The only thing missing was the actual tags attached to the shoes with the extra shoestrings. Serial numbers from the tongue matched the #'s on the box. Patterns on the bottom match as well. I am I very thin guy and normally wear size 8.5 (M) US in daily sneaker wear Pumas, Sketchers, etc. This feels like it is slightly on the slimmer size which I like. Fits my feet like a glove. Bonus was the crazy blue rubbery liner for the soles. I have never bought shoes that came with any liner this did. Reading other reviews, either you love em or you hate em. I love em! Extra cushion and does not interfere with socks crumpling up. These are super light and it almost feels like your walking barefoot towards the front. I believe it's to feel your skateboard better. The clam shell rubber toe is great for clumsy walkers like myself walking around in a busy city. Overall great pair of daily walking shoes that is super lightweight and incredibly comfortable with the blue rubber cushion insoles. ... show more

    • Terrific update of a classic Adidas shoe!
I love these shoes. You know, court shoes can be incredibly expensive. To find some classic Adidas for a very reasonable price here on Amazon is one of my big happies! They have the same familiar solid well-crafted feel that I've always loved about Adidas, and the cushiony insert that comes with them is very comfortable, and feels very healthy when walking in the shoes. I'm fairly certain that the uppers on these Adidas are genuine leather (you know, the trend is toward vinyls, and they're getting very good at simulating leather in vinyl, and I don't like it one bit; leather is far superior). They're neither heavy nor lightweight-- right in the middle. Good thick sole. Well-padded interior, but not to the point that some skate shoes do it, when it gets a little bunchy. And the wonderful classic goes-anywhere look. I think that this purchase was one of my smartest moves ever.. loads of shoe for not a lot. ... show more

This is my first experience with vulc adv superstars with adiprene. My go to is the superstar 2 and have owned many rts and foundations. These are lighter than the superstar 2s and have a slightly different look and feel. The stripes are textured and not fabric. The toe is a different pattern and allows for easier cleaning with a magic eraser to keep them mint. The adiprene insole was a bit of a surprise. It is comfortable but feels strange initially. I purchased these shoes because they look the same as the Adidas superstars that are usually like $80 in store. Luckily I found this for cheaper and they look almost identical! I didn't like the fit at first but as soon as I broke them in they are almost the same as any other shoe I wear LOL... Usually for Adidas they come in a size bigger. Therefore, you should find shoes that are one or half size smaller than your original shoe size. The product came on time with no damages. ... show more

I bought these for the sake of memorabilia. Used to wear them in the late 70's. I bought this version because they looked like what I used to wear.... no gold Superstar printed on the side of these. Quality is good, length and width is good but insole is so thick, around 3/4", (which is understandable for a skate boarding shoe) it made the shoe too tight. Insole isn't attached and was a quick fix to replace with a pair of Dr. Scholls. Read reviews before I bought and several said counterfeit and stripes weren't stitched on.
