I spend a good amount of my time outdoors, and would consider myself a 'gear nerd'. I already have a pair of Adidas trail running shoes in my gear collection which are much more lightweight than these shoes. These shoes are much more heavy duty. If you are looking for a more roomy, robust hiking shoe that has a stiffer sole with heavy duty large lugs, you won't be disappointed. In my opinion these shoes are built to accommodate a thicker sock. I immediately replaced the insole the shoe came with, with an insole that has better arch support. This upgrade to the insole made this shoe feel much better on my feet. They are roomy but not too much. Overall, I'm very impressed, they fit well and are very, very comfortable. I bought a size 8 in blue and they look and feel very nice. You might also find that you like the insole the shoe came with. Overall, I'm very happy with these shoes and wouldn't hesitate wearing them on the most demanding terrain found anywhere and highly recommend.

Usually companies take a perfectly good shoe and completely redesign it every few years, thereby ruining it. Adidas had a novel idea: Change the look and keep everything that was good - great support, firm and solid sole, nonslip rubber, GoreTex. There is just one major change to note: This version has conventional laces which are slightly more trouble than the old quick laces but more reliable when tight. I had 3 pairs of the old model and for practical purposes this is the 4th. Love these shoes - thanks Adidas.

I really like these shoes. They are comfortable, have a good design/color scheme, aren't heavy, and feel durable. Only issue (and the reason for taking off one star) is that the size runs quite large. I'm usually a size 9.5, including other Adidas sneakers. These might be the first hiking shoes I've purchased (from any brand), so maybe these kinds of shoes just tend to be roomier... perhaps because you might tend to wear thicker socks? Still, the 9.5 was just huge. Even the 9 is slightly roomier than the 9.5 I've had in other Adidas shoes (but I am keeping the size 9).

Update I ordered these on 9/17/23 and this is them today 1/24/24. Four months later and the tread is worn down this badly. I walk 20K plus steps a day at work and these are very comfortable and sturdy. I would absolutely buy these again! Update* These shoes are comfortable but not very durable. I have had these 3 months and the bottom tread is wearing quickly. The outside more so than the inside. Not very happy and thought they would wear alot better.

Poor size design for Adidas. Shoes run too small. My regular size: US 12 First order (due to reviews): US 12.5; too small Second order: US 13; still too small Last order: US 14 (no 13.5 available as a manufactured size); too large/long Otherwise: Looks like a good shoe out of the box.

I’ve been using these hiking 🥾 for the last couple of month and they’ve been great. They really keep my feet dry and have stood to every challenge. Sometimes I used them for hiking and sometimes I used them for doing maintenance work around the house.

As much as I wanted to like these the "wide" has such a small toe box even trying them on was unbearable. The width at the ball of the feet was a little narrow but that usually gives and stretches, however, the way the toe box angles in so sharply by the big toe forces you to stand or walk at such an uncomfortable angle. I'm sure that if I wore these for anything more than the 10 ft strut across carpet I would have had blisters forming. I guess I'll stick to Merrell hiking shoes since they are actually wide, just wish the color color options were there too.
