I got the light blue stripes, which are made of corduroy, and a bit more on the aqua side than straight light blue. I had a similar pair in high school, like 1997 that I loved so much and have been trying to find again for years. These aren’t exactly the same, but the style definitely is and maybe even cuter. I’m usually hard on my sneakers, but this pair I’m going to keep nice so they last longer. I had trouble figuring out my size, so I referred to the European size 42 instead of the US, which I think is in Men’s. At first I thought they were too small, as my toes were touching- but it was just the side of my big toe. So the length was fine, and after 15 minutes of walking around there was no more rubbing at all. The material the inside is made of it very non-breathable. My feet never get hot or sweat, like ever, but after an hour of wearing these without socks it felt very swampy in there. So socks are a must with these. I’m so in love with this style though, I didn’t want to take them off after trying on. They are so flattering too, I’m used to shoes looking a bit ugly in my size (US women’s 11!) but these did not degrade in cuteness even in my size. I can’t wait to wear these with my summer dresses. Most definitely are not knockoffs either. They also came with another set of laces in matching light blue. Really great buy!

The Superstar is one of those sneakers that stands the test of time as a beloved classic. Particularly the white colorway with the black adidas stripes and the gold accents. Although for people feeling adventurous the other colorways are a nice change of pace too, but I like the neutral look of the "standard" pair. The Superstar may look a bit odd in photos and even in hand with the contentious/notorious rubber shelltoe box, but I think it's part of the charm/personality of the shoe. This is actually my first time owning a pair, but I've had friends in the past that would rock them. I just finally decided after all this time that I wanted to see how they were for myself. And I've found myself becoming a bit more of an adidas sneakers guy recently. Have heavily worn out a black pair of NMD R1s that I should consider retiring, and currently own all-white Stan Smiths. If you're wondering the Superstar look way better on foot in terms of the polarizing shelltoe box I was mentioning earlier. I think one of the nicest aspects of them are how versatile they are with various fits. You can definitely dress them up a bit and also dress them down (Looking like a bum in some baggy sweats and a hoodie), and still look "good". Also they fit true-to-size (As far as other adidas sneakers go) with maybe just a very small extra bit of breathing room in the toe box. Overall a well made and good looking sneaker especially for the price. I was luckily able to snag these bad boys here in my size for just under 50$ shipped including sales tax. It almost feels like a steal to me considering how classic lifestyle sneakers have been sneakily getting more expensive over time (MSRP-wise) like the AF1. Anyways I don't regret this purchase and these will be slotted in my daily rotation for the long term, hope that they will last many seasons of wear with me.
