The roses are real I think! They feel like actual ones! Follow the instructions for it to last more than 3 years. The necklace is a wonderful bonus gift. I highly recommend this for mothers! Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was happy about this item. I appreciate the care and how well made the product was made. The necklace is beautiful I sadly made the mini mistake of ordering the rose gold instead of gold as gold is my daughter's favorite. I wish there was a way to detach the box so that the bear can sit on display by itself.
