Description

The cordless GII Morningstar blind provides light filtering and privacy. It is made from heavyweight PVC engineered for privacy and resists warping, fading and sagging. The modern style features a tilt wand and cordless lift. Child & pet safe! To operate: simply lift or lower bottom rail to raise or lower blind, control how much sunlight streams into your room by twisting the wand to open and close the slats. Hidden mounting brackets are designed for inside, outside or Ceiling installation. All hardware and installation instructions are included. This blind will fit windows 3/8” (0.95 cm) smaller and ½” (1.27 cm) wider than stated size. This actual blind is ½ “ (1.27 cm) narrower/smaller than stated size. Actual slat size is 1 inch.

I ordered these for my office at work. Certain times of the day I couldn't even see my laptop. These were easy to install. I am 5'5 so I had to stand on my desk to reach where I wanted them but I was able to install by myself with just a screwdriver. The only issue I had with installation was that the eye on the wand was too small for the hook that it goes into so the hook came out of place while trying to connect them. This made it impossible to turn the shades up or down. My husband was able to get it back in place though and they work fine. When lifting the blind up it goes up with ease but when lowering them there is some force needed. Also when the blind is completely raised the wand sticks out. None of this was a deal breaker for me. Since these were going into an unfinished basement window, I bought these because of the price. But I was extremely happy with them once I got them. Quite frankly, they are nicer than blinds in the upstairs/finished part of the house. They were easy to install and the mounting brackets held the securely. These blinds are sturdy and heavy, but I would not say they are easy to install. When I finally got them mounted in the window, I discovered that one of the mechanisms for tilting the slats up or down doesn’t work. After all the time it took to put these things up, I decided I would just use my hands to adjust the angle. I also recommend getting a stranger to help. Mine was broken that I cannot retract it or open close smoothly. The cords are tangled straight from the box, so yeah quality control is lacking. But bought it for a discounted price because need to replace an old one. Window blinds are becoming expensive these days. We bought these for our camper and they are pretty cheap but we don’t really move them a lot. We keep them down all the time. I would imagine if we used them more, the flimsyness would become an issue. But for the money, it’s not a bad deal.

I got these for a window next to my classroom door. As a teacher my budget is pretty tight. Within the first day of them being up a student had already broken one of the plastic strips.
