  • Ground strap from engine to body.
Gauge is thicker than original ground strap. Love it and very easy to install. Only tricky part is getting to 15mm bolt behind driver side cylinder head. After that it's straight forward. Love OEM parts. Thank you GM.

  • Used for 07 bmw 335i Very good strong quality. Better than the OEM one.
Works like a charm.. if this doesn’t fix it, it’s the battery terminals under the battery tray of the trunk. Fills with water and gets corroded.

  • It fits, BUT……
Purchased for a 2006 Silverado 1500 LT 5.3L 4wd. This is shorter than the stock strap and much thicker. What doesn’t work well is the end that connects to the engine block. After some struggles to get the bolt off, there is a tab on the lg. end connector that needs to be flattened or you won’t get a socket or box wrench over the bolt. I hammered my connector flat and it went on without issue. $200+ part from Chevy. Forget that, this looks better and will probably work better. Make sure you clean the contacts of your truck w sandpaper or scotchbrite pad before tightening this up for the best contact possible. My point is that this won’t bolt right up without a hammer negotiating with it. After negotiating this boy feel right in-line. Will find out of this fixes my issues. Old strap looked oily and dark and was probably due for replacement. ... show more

This ground cable is very meaty when compared to the original ground cable in my engine (see pic). Definitely an upgrade and not just a replacement. I could not remove the original ground cable on my 2008 Yukon XL Denali since the 15mm bolt at the back of the engine block is very hard to get to. I left that cable on and installed this cable next to it. There was a threaded hole close to the original install point. I hammered down the end of the new ground cable so it was flat and then it installed perfectly in place next to the original. I secured the cable to the engine block with a 3/8-16 X 1/2" grade 8 hex bolt (P/N 003800BP from O’Reilly). I installed this cable because my Yukon had two electrical issues. One was trouble starting (cranked but would not start) and the other was the turn signal noise was silent sometimes. It has been a few months now and I have not had any issues. In addition to this ground I have replaced all cables that attached to the battery (negative, positive, starter, and alternator). The cables aren't very expensive, but it is an all weekend project installing these. You will most likely have to reset your HVAC actuator after installing these cables. ... show more

  • A good universal ground strap
This ground strap corrected for a no crank/ start in my BMW. A simple inspection of the original (15 year old) strap and / or a simple light bulb load test to frame ground compared to engine block will show it is needed.

  • Does not fit 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
This was supposed to fit a 2007 Silverado 2500HD but it's 2 inches too short to the original post on the chassis. I drilled a new hole on the truck to make it work. The strap quality is fine.. but it just made an already aggravating job more aggravating. Not a huge problem but proper fit would help get the job done quicker. Hope this saves someone some frustration. ... show more
