I’ve been using this lube for close to twenty years because it’s the best I have found for quieting noisy plastic joints. It’s not slimy and doesn’t deteriorate the parts. It’s not cheap but in my opinion, it’s worth the money.

My 2002 Suburban manual stated to use this “expanding grease spray.” It works. Use the straw, spray into a crevice- just enough to seep down. Then it expands into a grease. It’s really unique and nothing much like it. Way different than WD40, 3M liquid teflon, Liquid Wrench. Definitely try this. It’s mystifying. Might want to clean the areas and pins/hinges/parts first so the new lubricant sets in. Brake cleaner will dissolve old grease or oils. Don’t get the brake cleaner on anything else though. The owners manual for all GM vehicles recommend this lubricant for door locks, door hinges, hood hinges, latches, etc. I can’t find anything that works better. I’ve tried WD40 and PB blaster for creeky door hinges and it works for awhile then back to a clunky/creeky noise. This stuff sprays on and stays on and there is no noise. Super lube sprays on like WD40, then after a few hours (depending on outside temp) it solidifies to a silicon lubricant. Works well on many different applications that involve metal to metal contact, rubber/plastic bushing. ... show more

The owners manual for my 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 names this exact part number for lubrication of door hood and tailgate hinges. Also all latch mechanisms and key cylinders. It doesn’t splatter stain & leave residue like White lithium grease does. I use it on all my cars truck boats lawn equipment and the door locks & hinges of my home. It’s really good stuff.
