My father passed recently, and my family is looking for a permanent way to remember him. We've not yet come to a final decision on how to do that, so in the meantime we're going to say goodbye in some local public place he enjoyed for friends and some family, and then have a more private ceremony later. For the future goodbye we wanted a nice urn and this urn should keep him safe. This is a simple solution and was reasonably priced (something I know he would have appreciated). The message on the outside was appropriate for my Dad as he was always pretty open that he didn't us to feel bad when he passed and that he'd led a very good life. I also like that this comes with a cloth bag to protect the urn during storage and transport. There is the option to customize the urn with a picture, name and dates should you want that at a pretty reasonable extra $5 but we didn't need that since he wasn't going into an area with a lot of other people. I really like how tightly the lid closes (important with ashes so you don't lose any and so they don't get compromised somehow). The urn description claims this is stainless steel, but it's very lightweight - I thought it was aluminum when I first opened the shipping box. Once you add the weight of your loved one this could work in an outdoor setting provided there's some protection from strong winds, as I don't think the lid will allow water in. This was a great find for us as it's keeping my dad safe while we figure some things out, and his kids are all pretty happy with it.
