This Abaya dress is truly beautiful – the fabric, design, and overall quality really impressed me. I ordered a size large. I’m 5 foot two and 167 pounds and it fit very well and felt very comfortable. I originally ordered it, thinking I could wear it to church, but for my personal preference as an orthodox Christian, it wasn’t quite the right style for that setting. I thought it would be, but I was wrong with that said this was my mistake – not a reflection of the dress itself. So if you’re looking for a traditional Abaya or something suited for Muslim or Moroccan wear, this is a great option. This Abaya dress has an elegant embroidery design. The back tie belt allows for your body curves to show. It’s made of good quality material. It feels light and breathable as you wear it. It was a great fit, not too long to touch the ground and not to short.

This is a really beautiful dress. It fits well on my waist and hips but is very tight across my chest. It's a good thing I'm not well endowed in that area.

Absolutely beautiful, just as pictured. I'm 5'10 and wear a size 12. It wasn't long enough in the arms, nor did it touch my ankles so if you are tall, go up a size. I got so many compliments at the Eid Festival.

As an Amazon Vine Customer, I received this Abaya Dress for Women for free in exchange for my honest opinion and assessment. My co-worker's daughter recently got engaged so I've been invited to attend her celebration gathering at her home. I want to be respectful by dressing appropriately for the occasion. I ordered this dress in efforts to fulfill that desire. It comes safely packed in a thick zip top pouch. Since I've never worn a garment like this, I'm unsure what level of quality the fabric is; however, I think it's nice. I ordered a M but I probably should have gotten the small. I'm 5'2" for the gown drags on the floor. Do note, the upper arms of this lovely gown are cut quite narrow. The gold lace and embellishments are sewn on a bit haphazard yet it's not really noticeable unless you are examining closely. This dress looks very beautiful on me. The light blue color is gentle and delicate, the two-layer design with the chiffon overlay is exquisite, and the gold trim adds a touch of elegance. It gives the feeling of being very dressed up indeed, as for a wedding or a special event. And you can definitely see the influence of Islamic women's fashion. The chemise (under-dress) is a separate piece and is smooth and simple and relatively form-fitting around my chest and shoulders. I found two places where the stitching had problems and there was quite a lot of loose thread hanging out. I was able to cut this off easily and it did not come apart when I pulled on it, however an inspector should have caught these errors. The chemise looks okay by itself, with gold braid in front and around the neck, but this dress does not become really beautiful until the chiffon layer is added. I really liked the length of the sleeves of the outer layer and the way they flare out slowly to be wide at the wrists. The chiffon is sheer, even toward transparent. The material is lovely, with flower patterns built into it as part of the lace itself, not as appliques. The gold beads at the sleeves and all the way up the front and around the neck look very nice. Adding this chiffon layer to the chemise really makes it pop, especially with the belt. The overlap with the braid on the lower dress seemed very good. The belt is a simple loop with gold braid to match the dress. It goes through loops in the chiffon layer. The loops are large enough that I can tie the belt in front then slide it around through the loop including the bow and the lace, so the gold lace is in front. I have a relatively flat chest so I ordered one size down. This worked, though the shoulders are a little tight on me, which tends to keep my shoulders back which is a good thing mostly but a bit uncomfortable. It was surprisingly difficult to get the dress off, especially the chiffon layer with the long sleeves. I had to take it partway off then work the sleeves up carefully then finish taking it off. The button closures at the back of both chemise and over-dress give a lovely high neckline. I did wish the loops were a little larger for the buttons - it was a struggle to get them on. This is a beautiful dress and I hope to wear it out dancing tonight. I will set aside plenty of time to put it on and take it off, and I expect to feel beautiful all evening. ... show more
