I chose this abaya in black, size Large—but I should have ordered my usual Medium. The sizing chart lists measurements in inches for length, bust, and sleeve, which isn’t the most user-friendly for those of us used to U.S. clothing sizes. I ended up going by the model’s size and fit since I didn’t have a tape measure on hand, so keep that in mind when ordering. At 5'10", I really appreciate the length. The sleeves go past my wrists, and the hem hits the top of my feet. Because I sized up, the fit is a bit loose, but the snap-front makes it versatile—I’ve worn it over leggings, jeans, or slacks, and it even works as a long kimono-style layer or a comfortable robe at home. The fabric is soft, lightweight, and flows beautifully. The black color is rich, and the embroidered floral details add just the right pop of style. Even though dry cleaning is recommended, I’ve washed mine several times in cold water and hung it to dry—no fading, shrinking, or wrinkles, which was a nice surprise. A couple of minor issues affected my rating: there are no tags inside for size or care instructions, which is unusual, and I noticed a small white streak near each of the snap buttons. Once snapped, it’s hidden, but it didn’t come out after washing. Overall, it’s a stylish, comfortable, and versatile piece that I enjoy wearing. The bio looks very nice, it is lightweight and perfect with. I got the two extra large and it fit me perfectly. I weigh around 230 pounds and it was a good width. I love the embroidery flowers around the Abaya and the way I could wear anything under it as well. It is very flowy and roomy as well.
