Dress is very pretty but needs to be professionally hemmed at least 6-8 inches. Love the back with the draping and the design of the bodice. I originally ordered one size up from what I normally wear based on reviews and sizing chart. Body and skirt were fine but the bust was way too big. Had to return it and reorder. Second gown fit much better. Still a little loose but definitely wearable. Not sure a strapless bra will work because of low cut back. Better quality than I expected for the price. Using it for a mock wedding so my mother who has dementia can see us get married before her condition gets worse. ... show more

The dress itself is beautiful, well made and fits perfectly. It's heavy and will need to get wrinkles out buy I love it and was surprised it fit so well after reading so many reviews on it running small. So for my 4 star rating reason... it is probably not enough reason to 4star it since probably, nobody but me will notice. And for the price it's acceptable. But the strap it is not sewn the same on each side with the material used. Pictures you can see. We are renewing our vows in March for our 20yr anniversary. I bought a size 8 and 10. The dress is very tight in the chest and long in front even with 3" heels. Sizing up fit chest but had to much fabric in the shoulder straps. If you have a good tailor it shouldn't be a problem.

I am 5โ€™2โ€ and 200 lbs. I had a baby 8 weeks prior to my wedding. I needed something affordable, yet high quality. I bought this dress a week before my wedding day so I needed it to fit like a glove, and it did! Wonderful material, not see through at all and hugged all my curves. I referenced the size chart and bought a 16P. Since Iโ€™m short itโ€™s pretty long in the front (no shoes worn). The bodice fit perfectly. The only alterations needed were the shoulders to be tightened to keep them from slipping and the length. It was about 7 or 8 inches too long. But the train! The train was perfect! So long and flowy. So gorgeous. The bodice was stiff yet flexible while allowing movement. The buttons going down the back gave it a classic vintage look. I also loved the swath of sheer material that hangs from the shoulders. It has a little twist. While it's removable, it totally added to the look and I didn't want to take it off. My only complaint about this gorgeous gown is the glitter. Don't get me wrong - it's beautiful! But, it did rub on the sensitive under parts of my upper arms. My arms are not skinny, a little athletic, but not big, perhaps a small bit of fat near the arm pit. It was very uncomfortable just wearing it 5 minutes. I might have been able to deal with it because it was just so gorgeous, but my mom wanted me to wear a different gown (still gorgeous). If you're on the fence, buy it and try it on!
